This location may not look like much from the outside, but it is definitely nice on the inside.
The store is clean and well organized. There are plenty of associates around the store willing to provide assistance. There’s a large selection of a variety of items you would expect to find in a department store and the prices are not over the top as in some of the mall department stores.

Springfield, IL
First off, like many places in Springfield, the outside may not look very good and a bit on the sketchy side, but they redid the store and it looks great on the inside. The prices are competitive and sales team are friendly. It’s definitely worth checking out for formal or casual wear in women’s, men’s and children’s.

Ann Arbor, MI
If you like JCPenney, then you will be thrilled with this one. It has to be one of the largest JCPenney’s I’ve ever been in. Certainly the biggest one that is all on one level. Their big focus appears to be on Apparel & Home Goods (I am not sure I saw a furniture department). They also have a Sephora store within. They don’t seem to have skimped on selection, even in their «specialty» areas like Men’s Big & Tall or women’s plus sizes. Shoes, kids, intimates, it’s all there.
