John Greenan & Sons Inc

While my ring is beautiful and I absolutely love it, Greenan and Sons was the middle man. The setting was designed by Gabriel and Company. Walter wrote extremely undervalued, inaccurate, and unprofessional appraisals. DO NOT get an appraisal done at Greenan and Sons. We got a second appraisal done at Helzberg Diamond by a Gemologist, the two appraisals were night and day. The one I got from Helzberg was 8 pages long with exact and accurate information, very professional. The one made by Walter was a couple of sentences. Thank goodness nothing happened to my ring while I had it insured under his appraisal it was $ 10,000 undervalued and I would not have been able to replace it. Not only were they undervalued and not well written, Walter did an appraisal on the same diamond and wrote two completely different specs on it. So obviously we thought something had happened, when we confronted him about it, he would not give us a straight answer and therefore we went forward with another appraisal. Spare yourself the stress, frustration and go somewhere else.

They charged me for a service ($ 100) they didn’t charge my friend. It’s been horrible since Billy, sadly, passed away. I now know why these big chain jewelers do better. Consistent service.

Recently ordered a piece not from their store, and was slightly critical of the work that was done on the ring since some of the prongs didn’t line up correctly. A friend of mine recommended John Greenan & Sons to get an honest opinion as to whether I should send the ring back to be corrected. Vanessa was very helpful and didn’t try to get me to buy their pieces instead. I appreciated them taking the time to help me and give me honest feedback, even if it was the work of a competitor. I didn’t know they were here, or I would have looked at them during the buying process as well. These are the types of place to bring your business.

I had a sterling silver ring resized here. The turn around was quick (next day!), the quality of the workmanship was excellent, and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely go back to John Greenan & Sons next time I need other jewelry repairs made.

My fiancé got my engagement ring through Walter at greenan. His experience was personal, and he was treated as a truly important person every time he went in. Walter makes you feel like family at every visit. They are all quite welcoming no matter how busy, and we have since purchased my wedding day jewelery and our wedding bands from them. Recently we moved and the bridal set (hair clip, necklace, bracelet and earrings) all managed to disappear in the move. One month before the wedding I found myself in a panic needing to reorder my jewelry. Not only were they able to recall my order from months prior and help me reorder, it arrived earlier than expected with a pleasant phone call. Every experience has been fantastic thus far and we would certainly recommend others to visit. Much better than any chain.

I was used to going to the watch places within the mall and even got the speech from one of the high end watch stores telling me that only they can take care of routine maintenance on the watch or «they’d know“I went elsewhere. It’s sad that some people really believe that!
I went in to get a new watch’s band adjusted and to get a battery replaced on another watch. The staff was very friendly and I was out of the store in a matter of minutes with my watch fitting perfectly and my other watch with a battery and had the time/​date/​day of week adjusted! I’ll be coming back here and sending coworkers/​friends here in the future too.

Walter knows his stuff, whoever said this place had poor service was and is to this day WRONG.
Walter custom made my mother’s engagement ring which appraised to $ 16,000 when it was done being customized. I would say in that regard the service is excellent.
Every item you see here is first class, the store may not look like much on the outside, but the gems are of better quality and rate than Jared’s and Helzberg. (yeah I said it BETTER)
Walter has been custom making jewelry for my family for years and we’ve never been let down.
You may come in here with only $ 1,000 to your name or less to get a diamond, but Walter will get you the Best that you can afford. It may be the tiniest diamond but it’ll be the highest clarity and cut.
I purchased my diamond studs and emerald studs from walter, and I consistently receive compliments on both.
