Horrible experience. They got offended when I asked what was all the chorizo burrito. My daughter ordered it just asking for the meat and tortilla. They brought it to her with a water tomato sauce on it. Got offended we didn’t want it. Never got checked on until they brought us our bill

Besides the awsome food in the restaurant… there is aslo a market next door! Tasty chorizo and other marinated meat for bbq. plus tasty mexican popcicles and mexican fruit street drinks like diablitos… yummmm!!! The owners are super nice and really cool to talk to and answer any questions you have. Check out there facebook page. Good food drinks and everything mexican flavored. love this place!

When I go to a Mexican restaurant I want more than authentic food. I want authentic atmosphere. Contrary to El Torito and plastic parrots, you might get real dead chickens at an authentic place. Well, maybe not THAT authentic, but a place where locals hang out and watch telanovellas. And that is what is playing at La Mixteca. But the food is the reason, and it didn’t disappoint. Neither did the service. Very friendly woman serving today. For about $ 8 I had a chicken tamale and enchilada with green sauce, cojito cheese and sour cream. Much preferable to that slathered American cheese like El Torito. The masa on the tamale was the softest I have ever enjoyed. Enchilada was perfect. I added a side of homemade tortillas warmed to a slight crisp. I would have liked a few more vegetarian dishes, but I’ll look into a special request next time. And«next time» will be soon.

Authentic Mexican food. Well worth the drive. It’s located in the Paramount shopping center. It’s been a long time since we’ve been out here. But they are back to being a great favorite. Chilaquiles with carne asada, caldos, piping hot molcajetes, etc. family owned and run with a store attached. So glad we came back to this place. Hand made tortillas! So good!
