Lithia Toyota of Springfield

I gave them 1 star because it is the lowest I could give. A year ago, May 2015, I bought a car from Lithia Toyota from Ron. I told Ron, I
wanted to see some cars. My husband and I had just bought a car
from Ron in January. In January, they were going to finance the car with loan payoff
should he pass away. My husband told them he had terminal cancer and so Lythia
couldn’t put the loan through that way. My husband did pass away in March 2015.
I went to Lythia the beginning of May to look at «cars». Ron remembered me and
the situation. I thought I would get a fair deal from him. He showed me the Rav4. I liked it okay and drove it. Ron said «okay let’s go look at some numbers» and I thought well all we’re going to do is look at numbers. Then we went into a small office he sat across from me at the desk and the Finance guy came in who is huge bald headed, no neck, big arms who sat down. I would have had to go around him to get out the door. I was so intimidated I got way less money for the trade in which is the car they sold us. They made about 10 grand in one fell swoop. I feel so taken advantage of, swindled and I will never, ever recommend them to anyone nor will I ever get another car from them. I will never love my car like I should when you buy a new car because I feel so swindled and every time I look at that car and get upset all over again. That’s why it took me so long to write this. I tried to take the car back the very next morning and I was told that my trade-​in was already gone and so they couldn’t do anything for me. I will never, ever recommend them to anyone. They knew I was a recent widow and took advantage of me. If they could do this to a recent widow, what would they do to you?

Once again, Keith Moreck and the crew at Lithia Toyota make purchasing/​leasing a car so easy. My previous lease (2014 Toyota Camry SE) was ending soon, so I went in to test drive the car on 3÷26÷16 at 9:00 am, drove home to discuss with husband and drove off the lot with my new Camry XSE by 11:30am. The financing was easy and quick. If you are looking for new or used, you will be treated like family at Lithia Toyota of Springfield.

These guys are so great. They stick by their word and don’t pressure you. My first car buying experience was off the charts good with these guys. My 2016 Corolla was marked online over a grand less than what it was suppose to be and although they weren’t compliment with Toyota pricing they stuck to their word and got me a brand new car at the best price! I don’t remember the sales guy, but he is a teacher, and you can tell he wasn’t the stereotypical sales guy. Thank you guys at Lithia Toyota for making this a great experience!
Oh I have to say it was kinda slimmy of Rodney the «internet special» dude to send me an email inquiry saying the car was $ 17k when it was posted for $ 15k. Well I happened to be in the middle of the deal at 15k and I showed the email to my sales guy and we both chuckled at his arrogance. He also had the balls to ask my sales guy if I had mentioned his email… Lol. Nice try Rodney!

Keith, Mark and Harold were a pleasure to deal with. This was my second car purchase from Lithia. It was a straight transaction, I gave them an opportunity to give me a «best price in town» and they did. No bullshit, no hard sale. I would’ve easily walked otherwise. The price, transaction, time and process were all easy, manageable and first rate. Keith’s communication deserves special mention; his response time extraordinary. Because of this I would go back again should the need arise. Can’t get any better than that, right?

Emailed Lithia Internet sales. I was immediately sent an acknowledgement. I emailed exactly the vehicle I wanted and Tim Mahn went to work. Within one day I had a price quote. (Very fair price quote) I want to stress that Tim was epitome of professional sales person. Straight forward and great to deal with. I would give 6 stars if I could. Thanks again Tim.

If you’ve got a lot of time to WASTE This is the place for you, if you want to buy a car in Eugene/​Springfield why aren’t you going to Kendall? At least they want your business. Lithia Toyota is a big joke you’ll see what I mean if you take your chances with these clowns. They acted like I was the one trying to rip them off!!! Thank you Kendall Auto Group

Jake Rand is a snake and a liar. They will say whatever to get you to buy a vehicle. There were multiple things wrong in the used car they sold me and I can’t understand how they could sell a vehicle w missing seat belts but they did. The deal was not what we agreed to they took advantage and lied knowing this was my first purchase! Then making threats when I call unhappy saying this was not what I agreed to! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else w truthful ppl that will not scam you and lie! They have completely ruined my credit and the vehicle cost WAY more than what it was worth I can’t even get out of the deal it’s that bad! This place will completely screw you over! Do not work w these ppl!!! If I could give negative stars I would! I can not begin to explain how much this place has ruined so much for me!

Recently I had my car’s AC worked on. It had never worked since I had owned it. I had moved to Newport shortly after purchasing it where the temperatures never get above 70 degrees so I rarely needed the AC. This past summer was ridiculously hot so I got it worked on at a local shop in town.
My problem? This car has been in a major accident at some point. The radiator and horn are bent to hell. The bumper has been replaced at some point. I was able to see that very clearly when the technicians were working on the AC and they pointed it out. NOW I see why they were not able to supply me with a Carfax before purchase.
Considering the car was overpriced to begin with and Lithia wouldn’t budge on the price at all because the car was in such fantastic condition, I’m not very happy. The resale value for the car has plummeted considerably. Lithia told me they had done work to the vehicle, but did not mention replacing a front bumper. Maybe they didn’t do it. But an experienced technician would have seen it. I know nothing about cars and I should have seen it.
Due to the high pressure from the «closer», the overpriced car, zero negotiating, lying about being able to provide a Carfax, and flat out hiding major damage that would have dropped the price of the vehicle thousands of dollars (maybe closer to my original amount I was planning on spending when I walked in), I cannot any longer recommend Lithia. The car is still running fairly well thanks to my regular maintenance, at least.
Lithia was iffy to begin with. Now I would pass on them completely the next time I am in the market for a new car.

Living a couple hours away, we worked for several days with one of the salespeople, and arrived yesterday morning to do the deed. We wanted to buy the car with our daughter (who lives a couple of states away) to help her build her credit rating. One of the cars on which we had been working had been sold the night before, and we were told there was one more available. So we got up at 5:30am to drive over and finish this off.
There were three comparable cars still on the lot.
When we sat down with the finance manager, he told us that he was unable to accommodate putting our daughter on the paperwork unless she (a broke college student) actually presented herself in the store — «the Federal Patriot Act requires it». Flat out lie to our faces. After leaving the dealership, we worked with two other dealerships, and bought from a competitor — neither asked for her to drive the 500 miles, both said all they needed was an original signature, which they were happy to get by FedEx at their expense.
I believe the service manager didn’t want the deal stretching out over the monthend and into November because it might affect his bonus.
Scummy. Slimy. We were attracted by their pricing, and disgusted by their ethics.

Came here and bought a 2011 Jetta from Hammad and the process was super simple and much faster than anticipated, the whole sales team and financing manager were easy to work with and made the process even enjoyable for my 4 year old niece. :) everything was clearly explained and my car was immaculate upon arrival and when driving it off the lot. Highly recommend this place for a car buying experience whether it’s a new Toyota or not.

I went shopping at Lithia Toyota in 2009, and it was an awful experience with the stereotypical good guy/​bad guy salespeople. All very slimy, and I went elsewhere. Because I live in Eugene, I decided to try them again. Same experience. I showed them where KBB lists my car as Dealer Trade-​In and they then knocked $ 3,000 off KBB’s lowest price (I have a Prius; they hold their value) PLUS added on several items I didn’t want (insurance in case my car gets stolen, the extended warranty etc). The salesman who evaluated my car didn’t know how to turn it off, then told me my tires were bald (had receipt showing I had bought the tires just last year). Frankly, I found the experience to be just awful.

Was working with Tim in sales starting on the internet division to purchase a new Toyota. Experienced long wait times in between responses, no efforts to be proactive or get us information in advance. Had to prompt Tim multiple times to provide additional information.
When getting to the point of needing a Final Sales total so we could provide to our bank to produce a check, we could not get an answer for over 24 hours, we called and requested from the Sales Manager. At this time we mentioned we had been Lithia customers since 1999 and it would be unfortunate to have to go to a competing dealer to purchase.
The general manager, «Skip» let me know he didn’t need my business because they sell plenty of cars to plenty of people. He said he was confused what I was asking for and would not hold me a vehicle. I let him know I was not asking him to hold a vehicle for me but merely needed a final total amount including all taxes, fees, trade in info etc to provide to my bank. He told me it was just simple math and didn’t understand why I couldn’t figure it out.
The conversation ended with a few fun words from me letting Skip know what I thought of his customer service, his condescending tone and implication of me being dumb. Guess our 16 year relationship with Lithia is over!

i worked with Norbert Johnson on the purchase of my 2015 Tacoma.
I live in Portland so that presents a challenge. Bert was very professional and his quick response to emails made this process incredibly easy.
I scheduled an appt at 1pm to have a ride down, pick up my car and finalize details.
I was an hour early (totally my fault) yet they were still able to get me out of there very quickly. Had I arrived at my scheduled time I would have been in and out in probably 45 minutes.
I am not a fan of buying cars, had my other car for 10 years in fact. Technology today makes this easy. Lithia also made this easy … Thank you

I had nothing but a great experience at Lithia Toyota! They made buying a car easy and stress free. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a new Toyota or a used car!

Matt Phelps was amazing. Made it so easy and was very helpful. Him and his crew took away my stress and anxiety of buy a new car. He calmed me down and was very very nice and sweet. I will totally go back and I 100% recommend him to everyone. Good luck.

Really didn’t want to give these folks a bad review. It started out O.K., the usual small
talk, nice people. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to come to terms on the sales price, and walked out, no harm, no foul. Ten minutes before closing we get a call from Sam, who asked what «they needed to do to sell the car?» (duh). If we would come
down tonight to make the deal, would we follow through…“gotta sell 10 cars today”.
I said, we would make a deal, on a verbal agreed price, (but please) the dealership
is 20 minutes away… an hour and a half to buy a car, and 20 minutes back… So I will
make the deal, but will return in the morning. He said he would call back in the A.M.
(fine) …Almost. I called well after opening in the morning and talked with my original salesperson (who should have been the exclusive) deal maker in the first place. We
asked that we work with him only. He said he didn’t know that (Sam)had called me the night before. Golly, we can’t sell you this car for thaaat., we’re in it for more than
you’re offering…(.$ 500 under retail book) The car was a 2013 bought at AUCTION. That’s even LESS than trade in value… it’s not that I want to deny a profit to a business,
it’s the idea that, maybe if «you throw it out there» it might stick…(like gum on your shoe)…just be honest, that’s all we ask.

If I could give no stars I would. Buying the car was fine. But when I went in to question the warranty I was sold. I was told I was wrong and I asked as the sales manager walked away so your not going to cover what I was promised (loud enough so the other customers could hear). He turned and appoached be in a threatening manner. He then said I was no longer welcome there. I still have oil changes for life and a 3 year warranty with them I can’t use. Now I will be arrested for trespassing if I ever go back.

I took my mother to Lithia of Springfield to look into a used car. The salesperson Jacob (as well Mark) were genuine friendly, laid back and not too pushy. We were able to negotiate without hassle or judgement. I’ll definitely make the hour drive when it comes time to by my wife her car.

We found ourselves in one of the most stressful situations of our life recently where we were in desperate need of new car. Our old Lexus had structural damage and was deemed totaled by her insurance right before of our family trip to California. To top it all off it was snowing buckets in Eugene out of all places, something that we were not prepared for. We were stranded at home snowed in with no car and a one-​year-​old baby.
We called around to several dealerships after looking online at the inventory and every other dealership that we called over the phone was just not pleasant.
Thank goodness we called Lithia Toyota if Nissan!
When we called we were so refreshed by the customer service and care that Hamad Al-​Meliky provided for us. He even picked us up in the snow! Patiently showed us all of the models at we wanted and help us get into a brand-​new Suzuki Grand Vitara. We’re loving it. When we get our second car we will definitely be returning to Lithia of Springfield and Hamad! They made our experience pleasant!

I will never go back to Lithia again, the start to finish of my adventure buying my first car there a few years ago started bumpy and ended just as obnoxiously as it began.
The sales person wasn’t personable but I found a car that I liked and wanted, so I went for it. There was a cracked back tail-​light, that I made sure to make sure they promised to fix in the costs and got their standard IOU write up for it during the paperwork stage.
They decided they didn’t want to honor their financing offer after I left, I was shopped around by their finance department to find a local lender. Thankfully SELCO gave me a reasonable deal for a first time buyer without any credit at the time! Though my payments ended up being slightly higher than Lithia had originally quoted, I’m glad to have been saved in the end with SELCO being my lender.
It took what felt like forever to get my lens fixed. They didn’t order the part, I had to call and remind them, which they then said was up to me all along… oh.
The service department was under construction at the time, so maybe that’s why they were so flippant and disorganized, who knows, hopefully they’ve gotten better.
When I had a problem within the first six weeks of owning the car, I had to fight with them to honor their warranty!
Then years later, when my mechanic was questioning the model year of my car, he showed me where it clearly stated it’s a 95 model, when the paperwork and title all have 96 as the model year. They don’t even double check the details before selling it to you, I suggest checking that for yourself and not believing their window stickers to be correct!!!
