Mark Pi’s Express

My favorite Chinese restaurant in southwestern Ohio. The décor is very simple, low rent and the Upper Valley Mall location is nothing special. But the food is uniformly fast, hot and delicious, at an extremely reasonable price.
I prefer highly spiced Chinese and they do not disappoint. Kung Pao Beef, Mark Pi Beef, Pad Thai Chicken are all favorites. On the less spicy items: Pork Lo Mein, Lemon Chicken, and Sweet & Sour Chicken are excellent. Hot & Sour and Wonton Soups are delicious.
Only downside I have on their entire menu are the egg rolls. Just not well executed. But if you get the combo meal, they throw them in for free. So it’s hard to complain too much.
Restaurant has been in operation apparently forever and is owned by an incredibly dedicated and hard working Chinese couple. I moved to Springfield ten years ago and dined here occasionally for at least ten years before that. I have never had a bad meal here.
Highly recommended.

We always buy six general tso, not spicy, extra chicken. Some without veggies. Some with extra sauce. They always get our dinners right. And they are so good. Also love their egg rolls.

By far the best Chinese food around. I drive from Dayton sometimes just for lunch because their «Mark Pi chicken» meal is better than anything out here. It’s great extra spicy!

Any place that offers me Pad Thai in the mall can’t be all bad. Get it extra spicy for the win!

I hadn’t eaten here for years, and this place blew me away! Everything was hot and fresh and prices were very reasonable. I can highly recommend the sweet and sour chicken, the almond chicken, bourbon chicken, vegetable rolls, and crab rangoon. You also get a choice of fountain or canned drink. We stopped for lunch while shopping at the mall and it was fantastic!

Friendly owners who also work hard everyday in their business very respectful. Their food is excellent, I love the Shrimp Lo mein. After eating at Hung Lung I did not like the food, or Panda it made me sick, but I haven’t had any problems with any delicious order I consume here. They are in the Mall so you can stop while you shop or take out.
