Decided to try it out. Went through the drive the, Saturday about 230pm. Girl taking the order extremely rude and short with us. The menu is designed very badly, we could not find the sides. We asks what they were and the girl in the drive thru could not name them or refused too. She very aggressively with distain in her voice barked out where they were located on the menu in a very poorly placed small boxed. We asked her just to read them to us, she then again barked out the previous command again. It seems this is a regular issue, that she is tired of dealing with. She then asked for my name, I have a problem with this for many reasons, personal preference. I asked why? I’m in the drive thru, she very angrily said so we know who the order is for. I said I’m the only one in the drive thru. When I got the receipt it had an order number on it, so no reason for my name. I almost drove off right there, I wish I did. It only gets worse. So I pull up to the window and the cashier asks me again for my name. Just bad customer service, my personal preference out weighs your need to follow some stupid policy or whatever it is. Very annoying, I ordered a Reuben and coleslaw, the«nachos» and chicken salad on croissant with coleslaw. It came to around 22 $. Which if the food was good would be pretty reasonable. But it wasn’t. Maybe they are just trying to be a cafeteria class restaurant, then it would make sense. I don’t mind paying for quality food. My Rueben was soggy barely toasted, was not on marble rye. Who serves a Rueben on non marble rye. There was a good portion of meat, but it was extremely low quality corn beef, the Sour kraut was limp and disgusting. I’m still having stomach issues now a full 24 hours later. The coleslaw was so salty and disgusting, I literally spit it out on the ground. My wife could not eat hers. Her chicken salad on croissant was ok, nothing special. The«nachos» for 5 $ was just chips and cheese. I called and complained to their corporate and the asking about the name policy and it is not part of their business model. So the entire confrontation and being treated rude, was for no reason on their part. This place will be out of business in 2 years, if that. Guarantee it.

Good stuff, I tried probably the most problematic item on their menu… The large baked potato. I was excellent, baked right and TASTY. Got a bite of my wife’s sandwich — very good. The staff is nice and the manager talked to customers like he gave a damn, now our new normal for a deli shop.

Great Deli, I have eaten in several across the midwest and none have disappointed! I love their Cranberry Orange Club and their sweet tea, and the chocolate cake is awesome. This one even has a drive through which I have not seen before. Try it out!

Excellent sandwiches, soups, salads and baked potatoes. Service is good and food is prepared fresh and fast. Great menu with many options. Huge step up from the Jimmy John’s and Subway’s of the world. Drive thru is a huge bonus!!!

Sandwiches & prices are better than Panera, soup is very good. Love that you can order online or with their app & love that there is a drive through. If you like olives I would highly recommend the muffaletta sandwich!

New deli in Springfield comparable to Panera or Corner Bakery. The specialize in sandwiches, hot or cold, soups, and gourmet salads. You order at the counter and then they bring the food to your table. The best thing about Mcalisters was the service. Everyone was friendly and eager to please. They were attentive and always asking if they could get us anything. The food was all tasty and they gave large portions. Prices are a little high, but the portions are great. I’ll return.
