Home of Springfield Express Junior A hockey and MSU Division 1 hockey. Boys have talent. Youth age 16 to 20 working on a career in hockey. Ice park has open skate for all ages. You can rent skates or bring your own. It is cold. Plan to wear layers if you are skating. If watching you can drink some hot chocolate or have a snack from concessions. If the ice park is busy the parking lot could be full. Park across the street in the parking garage. Great venue and activities for springfield area…

Facility was very clean and kid-friendly. The mascot frequented all areas keeping all the kids entertained. There is so much fun to be had here. We will be back soon to watch a hockey game AND attempt ice skating. Thanks for a fun-filled day!

This ice skating rink/park has two rinks. They have great programs for learn to skate for adults and children. They also have programs for learning to play ice hockey for children and a Hockey 101 class for adults. The cross ice program for young kids is a great way to learn ice hockey, which is taught by the MSU Bears hockey players. They also have a figure skating classes.

The Mediacom Ice Park hosts a range of options for icy fun. Hockey — If you like to watch hockey, the two rinks are home to both the Springfield Spirit, the Springfield Express, and the Missouri State Ice Bears. If you want to play hockey, there are both adult and youth leagues for all ages and abilities. The youth program is the only Olympic Development Program for hockey in the country. Ice Skating — There are classes and private lessons for ice skating for all ages as well. You can watch competitions and exhibitions at various times throughout the year. They also have open skate times almost every day — rental skates are available. The Ice park also has several spaces that you can rent for parties. If you don’t like to skate, you can do a broom ball party on the ice. I haven’t played, but it looks like fun. As a gal who grew up in the midwest with no access to ice sports, I love that my kids can learn these sports in such a nice facility.

Been here a couple times with my nephew and always had a good time. The staff is friendly, and it’s still a new clean facility. My skates have always fit me, and it turns out I can skate well enough to keep me and a 6 year old in the upright position for almost two hours. Prices are pretty reasonable, just a fun out of the norm thing to do on a hot humid summer day.
