Was in town on business and a work colleague and I found this place at the end of our work day. Solid spirits! My colleague had a couple of their cocktails and was very pleased. While I enjoy a good mixed drink, I wanted to taste their individual products. I tasted their bourbon, corn whiskey and vodka and was very impressed with all three! We both left with a bottle of their bourbon to take home. Cheers!

My initial interest composed of equal parts skepticism and curiosity, I patronized Missouri Spirits with admittedly tempered expectations which were immediately exceeded in every possible way. As something of a liquor snob, I didn’t expect to be blown away by a bourbon distilled on site using ingredients exclusively from Missouri — but I was. And, perpetually disappointed by bar food fare, I didn’t expect to enjoy their culinary offerings — but I did. Combine those experiences with great service in an environment that somehow manages to be trendy, rustic and minimalistic all at the same time, and you wind up with an establishment that begs to be visited time and time again.

Missouri Spirits is a truly unique gathering space, its large and open providing the perfect setting to a night out with some friends. I stopped in to try some of their quality spirts and quickly discovered that most if not all of their spirits, infusions, and nearly everything else is house made. The cocktails here are top notch, and very strong, I had a hard time deciding on the perfect cocktail but ended up going with the Monarch Mojito, which was made with Missouri Spirits Corn Whiskey, muddled sugar cube and a lime peel along with sweet lemon lime ice and topped with house made mint soda, it was perfection. Other drinks that really peaked my interest were the Mexican Villan, which was pepper infused Missouri Spirits Bourbon, sweet dark chocolate cream, mint and cinnamon and the Missouri Margarita, which was made with Missouri Spirits Corn Whiskey, fresh lemon and lime juice, house made orange cordial, simple syrup, and a strawberry popsicle garnish. While I didn’t end up trying either I know that they will be on the menu for next time I am in town. The atmosphere here is very unique, it’s a large open space with several seating areas and a large screen projection tv playing classic movies, the background music is perfect for setting the mood of a casual evening and cocktails. Overall this is a must visit when in Springfield.

Was in town for a wedding. Nice open concept. They make their own spirits. Staff was nice. Bathrooms were clean. I gave 3 stars for that alone! Location is downtown Springfield. Projection screen tv probably makes for good fight night or other televised current event. Specialty spirits and the catered meal was fabulous!

I was skeptical at first that the quality of the booze they make may not be all that great, but I ordered a vodka, neat, as the acid test and they passed; I enjoyed it and was impressed! The atmosphere is relaxed and casual; very comfortable and the bartenders are friendly and pretty pro. Check it out!

What can I say about the Sprit House… Well for one I’m glad we actually have one here in our tiny town. I usually buy their spits at the store since it is very reasonable; lso a 5 star bourbon. The ambiance is fantastic! Rustic, and open with a ginormous screen to the rear. As well as a open backroom for viewing the stills, and production line. The drinks are mixed well, and some take lot’s of preparation. But they seem quite small for the price. Most drinks are $ 9 for a 4oz beverage. My favorite so far is still the«Mule.» A ginger ale infused beer with a shot of moonshine! We also go there to see our buddy Josh who has been in the bar business in Springfield for over a decade now… It’s a great place to start the night with conversation, and a also a great place to wind down.

A unique addition to Downtown. For an after work cocktail, to start or end a date night. Or to host a private function. This place is a true original.

We have been to the tasting room a few times now and have had a great time. The staff are knowledgeable and make you feel welcome the minute you get in the door. The drinks are wonderful and complex. If you haven’t been there yet… Get there!

What an interesting place. Don’t let the tinted windows make you think the place is closed – give them a shot. Pun completely intended. Missouri Spirits House is a distillery, making their own vodka, corn whiskey, and bourbon in house. The menu is small but admittedly intimidating. You will find smoked strawberries in your lemonade, blueberry caviar, and sugar coated rosemary sprigs. The cocktails at Missouri Spirits are a true craft, and I don’t know of another place that takes as much pride in their drinks. This is not a bachelorette party, round of shots, Jaeger bomb environment. You will probably not find a gaggle of girls in platform shoes and little dresses. This is a relaxed, adult atmosphere with drinks made for sipping. The flavors are complex and artfully created… Missouri Spirits House is a drinking experience, as silly as that may sound. I love the building and the décor-the exposed beams with the lights, the metal cutouts of the state of Missouri on each table… I need one of those at my house! It’s the type of place that spurs conversation – our table conversation involved our lofty aspirations for décor. I think they are aching for a fireplace. There are only a few tables and wooden chairs, and a couch or two could really help. There is a large amount of open floor space, which I am assuming will be used for live music or dancing… but my imagination put a big rustic fireplace over there. I will definitely be back to see what type of new cocktails they create! It’s the type of place that you can bring business associates, or a date that you actually want to TALK to. lol. Enjoy Missouri Spirits House, folks!!!
