I don’t know about the other review about Ron but I had a great experience. My hair stylist that I had gone to for years was getting married and moving on. So i have been looking for a new one. In the last six months I have had 5 desaterous hair cut and colors. 3 of which I left without letting them go past the color. Ron listened to everything I wanted and he hit every bench mark I had. Great place

I saw Mallory yesterday. She was able to work with my hair texture and gave me an awesome cut. My hair is happy and bouncy again!

Tony rescued me. Not only did he squeeze me in at the end of the day, but he took his time and did everything I could have asked for.
He worked with my impossibly damaged hair and layered in my hair extensions perfectly. I’ll definitely be going back. The atmosphere is extremely cool and eccentric! I highly recommend this salon.

Mojo Pie is the place to go. The eclectic, out of the ordinary, upscale feel makes for a beautiful, one of a kind experience. The staff is amazing and the atmosphere will blow you away. So much talent and inspiration in one place. Ron Blevins is known as «The Hair Guy» for a reason. He has never let me down. I give him an idea of what I want and let him run with it every time. His cuts and styles are remarkable and his colors are extraordinary. Not to mention the most relaxing wash you’ll ever receive– pure bliss. Highly recommend Mojo Pie and Ron Blevins. You’ll walk out with the best cut/​color/​style ever at an affordable price and always a great experience.

Mojo Pie has a great feel to it. Tony is amazing!
However, I made the huge mistake of going to Ron because of a schedule conflict and couldn’t get into to Tony. Please do yourself a favor and not make my mistake. Not only did I leave crying but I had to pay someone else to fix the disaster Ron considered a haircut. Not to mention, it took him almost 2 hours to destroy my hair.
With that said, I have only had haircuts by Tony and Ron so I cannot comment on the other stylists. If you give it a try, stick to Tony if no one else has been recommended to you.

Heard good things about Mojo Pie and decided to give it a shot. While it is tucked away a bit, its hard to miss if you’re looking for it. Everything about this place is interesting and sort of oddball (in a good way). The service is very friendly from everyone, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The vibe of the place is unlike any other salon I’ve been to.
I had my hair cut by Tony, the owner, who is a very nice and sociable man with a good eye for style and who does excellent cuts. He told me while I was there that he built the building from the ground up, which I found interesting. I was very pleased with my cut (I gave him creative control over it) and have recommended others here. They have all been pleased with the results as well.
I did pay a little more here than I would elsewhere, which made me leery at first, but in the end, I felt I received a comparable increase in quality, so for me the difference is worth it.

Mojo Pie is a dazzling two-​story wonderland, with eye-​catching décor in every nook and cranny. Its magical spirit is contagious, and when you leave all dolled up with a new haircut, you feel like you’ve taken a piece of its beauty with you.
Now, for my hair styling genius, Gopal. I started going to him about four years ago at a different salon. I moved to Kansas City a while back, and I still plan my haircuts around my trips to Springfield. I’d give him a sixth star if I could.
I’ve had my hair everything from shoulder length to pixie cuts. Gopal always delivers. My hair is thick, and it’s tricky to get the layering right, whatever the length. If that’s off at all, I can’t get my hair to look right when I get home. Gopal not only makes it easy for me to style when I leave, but his cuts have always grown out beautifully! I’ll be six weeks out of a short cut, ready to go back for my next appointment, and I’ll get compliments about my hair. Compliments, nearly two months after my haircut! That’s how good he is.
I’ve gotten highlights, had my brows waxed, and had him come up with an updo for my wedding. I think his prices are very affordable, too. I’d trust him with any of my beauty needs!

I recently moved to Springfield from Southern CA and was in the market for a new hairdresser. I had tried a couple salons downtown, but couldn’t find one that would actually cut my hair to give it shape and movement. I tried Mojo Pie based upon a friend’s recommendation. Rachel Elliott cut my hair and I absolutely LOVE it! I have very thin hair. She cut it to give it shape, movement, and volume. It is EXACTLY what I was looking for and exactly what the two salons before couldn’t seem to accomplish. It is so easy to style – a sign you got a great cut. I keep getting compliments on my eyes – little do people know it is my haircut that’s bringing out my eyes! The staff is friendly and the prices very reasonable. This one goes on my list of Springfield’s best. Highly recommend!

I choose this place for its hip art concept and what awaited me did not disappoint. The atmosphere is comfy and plush and the people are friendly.
The haircut was amazing! How he knew exactly what shape would bring out my eyes and so complement my face shape I’ll never know. Yes, they study this in school but rarely do stylists truly get it. All I know is that a master artist set to work on my coiffure and made me feel like a cut and polished stone, sparkling in the sun.
The product the stylist insisted I use is also unbelievably awesome! They were out the day of my cut and so he ordered some because, in his opinion, only the one would do. In the mean time I bought something else until then. O… M…G! It really was the best.
For almost a month now I’ve had daily (DAILY) complements on my hair. Some that are even repeats («I still love your hair»). Thank you Mojo Pie for your hair changing/​life rearranging experience.
