I love My Village Chicken! I have been going there for many years and have been very pleased. Their prices and food are very good. Their Saturday night chicken meals are fantastic. I highly recommend.

Today’s gyro sucked. There wasn’t a single piece of meat longer than 1 inch. It was mostly little pieces of way overdone gyro meat. Not good. Off day?(The lovey spit of gyro is turning… This meat DIDNOT come off that spit.) They hid all of this under the lettuce tomato onions and sauce. Little dried bits… Yuck.

Small place, but overall very good food! Wait time is usually 5 – 9 minutes for your food to be prepped properly. For some odd reason I love the ice machine here ;D

It was my first time here ever and I ordered the chicken fajita salad, and I have to say it was phenomenal the chicken was so juicy and I love how they give you hot pita bread with it… delicious

Overrated imo and not good. I’m very disappointed that the Unilocalers have made this a highly ranked place. It is average at best. I got a couple items to try gyro which was OK. The chicken which was sitting in grease… and a salad. Every meal uses the same rotisserie chicken. I got a village bowl also which didn’t look good. Their chicken isn’t better then the low rated Peruvian spots. They don’t even have a sign I couldn’t find the freaking place. All that work and it was lack luster. Please don’t over rate a hole in the wall place. I think is this one of the few times Unilocal has let me down. I want my money back, wait it is free. I guess I’ll shut up now.

Stopped by here Friday night, 7:45pm and they’re closed– contrary to hours on website and door. Bummed as this would’ve been my first time here. Was looking forward to this. Maybe I’ll make it back sometime but will call first.

I eat at this restaurant quite frequently as they serve a large quantity of food at a very reasonable price. For under $ 10, I usually order a plate of chicken with two sides and flat bread, The food always comes out fast, hot, and delicious. This a great cheap eats place!

Yummy! The food was ok and the atmosphere was nice. I would go back again but choose a different menu item.

Village Chicken is great, especially their rice bowls. The chicken entrees are great as well. Food comes out quick, staff is friendly, plenty of seats(in the evening, at least).

This is the ONLY peruvian chicken place in the entire tri state area that I have been who refuse to give you a «whole chicken» dark meat. I’ve given the place two chances and both times have been told that they are«running low on chicken». Their chicken is precooked, it’s stored in a steam oven, and then served. Kinda like what McDonald’s does with their burgers. This place may be passable for Burke– but if you want decent chicken, go to KINGPOLLO, a 1000 times more authentic and fresh.

Gyro was pretty good, macaroni salad was so sweet that it was inedible. Chicken tasted like they bought it from Safeway.

I’ve been coming here a bit more often and trying more menu items. Their subs are really delicious, the French fries are nicely seasoned, crispy on the the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. Service is always fast and friendly. I enjoy that they’re local and not a big chain.

Back again. Today I tried the roasted chicken. Bargain and tasty. Breaston and wing with drink an 2 sides and warm pita with a mini container of hummus ca. e to 799…847 with tax. Deal!

Having now had much better sides(cucumber salad and macaroni salad), I’m gonna bump this up to a five star rating. Again, the gyro is exceptional. Combine that with very good sides(if you get the right ones) and outstanding value, My Village Chicken is as good as it can get in the fast food category. You rarely get this much quality food at these prices anymore, and I’m thrilled that I’ve discovered my new lunch spot in Burke/Springfield.

Tiny, nondescript place with fast and friendly service. Food was better than any chain restaurants and also priced well. I will certainly stop by again the next time I’m in the neighborhood.

So I came in here for the first time today and ordered the village border salad and the baklava. I ate half of the salad today for lunch(half is plenty of food) and had the baklava for a early afternoon snack. My food was delicious and filling, the price was really reasonable too considering that the salad was about $ 7.50 and enough for lunch today and tomorrow. I thought the baklava was a bit expensive but it was a large serving size and will be my snack tomorrow as well. I Will definitely be going back again and bringing friends.

Today was my first time here! I was actually next door for a cell phone repair and decided to check it out. I got the steak burrito with potatoes and salad on the side. It was so good and very affordable. The platters even include a drink. It was definitely worth it and I can’t wait to come back and try another dish!

In my opinion, the 4.5 star rating of this place is very much inflated. It came highly recommended to me as well, by word of mouth, but my experience did not live up to the hype. Three of us ordered the traditional gyro with different sides. The gyro itself was pretty good: very flavorful meat, perfectly soft pita, but it could have used more yogurt sauce. The sides were a complete afterthought, and were particularly weak. I ordered green beans which were straight from the can and underwhelming. The rice was cooked well, but nothing special. My hubby ordered potatoes and they were obviously not fresh. They were cold and gummy. The chickpeas were also cold. I would eat a gyro from here again, but would skip the sides. In my opinion, a place that deserves 4.5 stars puts much more effort into their food.

I AMOBSESSED. My first encounter with my true love, Village Chicken, was back in high school maybe 2008 when they were located where boardwalks currently is. After the first bite. never did I look back. In high school and id skip to eat here for lunch. I went so often the workers notice I was skipping and give me a wink. To this day I still get the same exact thing the #1(traditional gyro). It’s a nostalgic taste for me and the flavor is
Oh and it’s like $ 8 for a gyro, 2 sides, and a drink. It’s so much food and such a great deal
