I had three knives sharpened recently at a «Repair to Re-use» café put on by Lane County Master Recyclers. Not only was Fritz providing a great service for free to members of the community, he did an incredible job. The knife edges are much, much better off than when either a) I try to sharpen them with cheap sharpeners or b) when I took them to another knife sharpener in town. They were perfectly sharpened, and absurdly sharp. They cut through everything so well, now. I would definitely pay the very reasonable full price to have my knives sharpened by Oregon Edge Sharpening Service. I think it was $ 5 for standard kitchen knives. A great value considering the crude sharpening performed by most places in town at roughly the same price. Seriously impressed with the work, and also really appreciative of his contribution to a great community event. His van is also super cool…

Kind, conscientious and handles my $ 700 shears w finesse. I actually purchased my Taos through him and am thankful he suggested them, as I am extremely particular. These are my daily«go-to» 7″ shear, so he checked them over the other day, buffed and polished the edge, adjusted the tension, then handed them back to me oiled and at no charge. I tried to pay him, but he said they didn’t need sharpening, he just wanted to service them. Pretty awesome, huh? I have thousands of dollars worth of shears— and I’ve had shoddy work done to my shears before, so I only allow 2 professionals to touch my shears and Fritz is one of them. Normally he charges $ 35 per shear and comes to your business.

Fritz is consistent, conscientious and friendly. He’s been great showing up and checking in and sharpening our blades and shears. He offers good quality products at reasonable prices. I called him and with in 24 hours-he was at my work with beautiful shears for a great price. Barber blades for clippers are hard to sharpen and we’ve had a lot of technicians-Fritz is by far the best we’ve had.
