This is probably the best Latin/Spanish restaurant in the Western Mass and North Connecticut area. Don’t expect this place to be a fast food. Is the closes thing that you are going to find to a Spanish fine fine. All food is made from scratch, including deserts. Everything was perfect; service, drinks food etc. the atmosphere amazing. The food got the correct flavor. Recommended plates: ceviche, empanada sampler, pull pork nachos, shrimp mofongo, NY steak in mash yuka. Desserts: quesito with guava, barriguita de vieja, flan and tres leches. Believe me you will not regret anything.

This place is «OK». The service was great, but the food was all kind of dry and not worth the price tag. The atmosphere is cool, but is barely touched from the sushi bar that used to occupy the space, it doesn’t really fit the vibe of the current establishment. The best dish that came to our table was the pulled pork nachos, those I would recommend.

This eatery is no joke! It’s top quality from the moment you get there. Everyone from the waiter we had to the owner we meet were outstanding. The food was truly a masterpiece. Apps were amazing too! Well worth spending the money in my opinion.

$ 5 specials were awesome on game days. I always receive excellent service when I dine here. They always greet me with a happy smile. I love this place.

The atmosphere was gorgeous. The waterfalls and bar area were very appeasing to the eye. The music in the background was Latin and perfect for the ambience. The service was prompt and the waiter was attentive. The food was however, average. The presentation was nice, but for basic Spanish cuisine, it was extremely overpriced. Arroz con Gandules y Pernil meal for $ 20.00– no way. Pork shoulder is 0.99/ a pound. Basically they are dressing up normal Puerto Rican food and charging an arm and a leg for it. This doesn’t work for a community that is largely Hispanic and could have their«Abuela» cook the same meals. I had a good sampling of the menu, the carne fritta was ok with large portions, the Cuban style sandwich had the prior day’s pork that didn’t sell and it was dry. The octopus salad was so chewy I had trouble eating it. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re an out of towner who doesn’t typically have access to this type of food and wants a nice ambience. For a local person, I’ll stick to the«hole-in-the-wall» Spanish places speckled around Springfield and Holyoke.

This place has a long way to go. We were excited to try the food but were very disappointed with the flavor and quality. Food– We ordered an octopus salad that apparently came right out of a can and got tossed with a few tomatoes and peppers. For apps we ordered the mofongo and empanada samplers. The empanadas were ok but the mofongos were all cold and flavorless. Mofongo is hard to mess up but they managed to do it by serving us cold and soggy mofongo. We ordered pastelon that is supposed to be layered with sweet plantains but instead got a chunk of dry ground beef topped with 3 fried plantains. That’s not how pastelon is made at all. A friend ordered carne guisada and what she got was a mountain of rice with 3 small chunks of meat. The flavor of the rice and sauce was good. Their pernil was good. Drinks– The bar and restaurant had maybe a total of 20 people but somehow it still took nearly 25 minutes to get 4 drinks to our table. Two of the drinks were just pour and serve(beer and coquito) and the other 2 had to be made but it still shouldn’t have taken so long. I ordered a replacement drink for the tasteless chocolate mint martini I got and it took 20 minutes to get to our table. Sub-par drinks and long wait time? Not good at all. Service– Our waitress was cordial but she definitely gave us poor service. On seperate occasions we asked for basics such as napkins and silverware and she forgot to bring them to us. I asked for lemon and that never came. She forgot to put in one of the appetizers as well. She also left my drink sitting at the bar for a while until I turned around to look at her. She was completely lacking attention and care for her table. Maybe she’s new but she needs serious training if she is going to represent this restaurant as a waitress. Overall we were not happy with our dinner visit and we will not be back. Make improvements Palate! You have a nice place but it’s not going to work if this continues. I hope you take this review as constructive criticism. Wish you all the best!

The good: will def go back! very nice spot, hands down it’s the nicest Spanish restaurant in the Springfield/Hartford area. Not your regular cheap restaurant, prices for entrees are mostly in the $ 20s but you pay for the nice classy interior décor and the nice presentation of the dishes. The snack you get served is plantain chips with sauce, loved it, it’s different, nice touch. Had the tres leches for appetizer and it was just right, had mofongo and carne frita, mofongo was delish just needed more garlic sauce as the mofongo is a little dry; maybe should’ve had it with the shrimp, carne frita was good just needed a bit more flavor, so Food was decent. The bad: food needs more flavor! Also, went in on Friday at 6pm and there were kids around, family going in and out of the kitchen, felt a little chaotic and noisy; when I go to a nice restaurant and I’m spending money I don’t want to see that!

First time. Will definitely be back. Amazing atmosphere. Service was so on point — Nick was out waiter, he was great– go see him! Great recommendations. Food was delicious. Hard to decide what to get! Great choices. Drink menu made me want to try 5 different drinks. Beer and wine selection– great. There are no fancy Spanish restaurants like this anywhere in Western or central Mass. but there should be more like it! Very happy with this place– our new spot :) can’t wait to go back and try more.
