So I’ve been eating here since my mom was clubbing at the hippodrome. Early 2000s. I remember when the restaurant was right next to the hippodrome, a small little pizza shop. The pizza was always good and more then enough. My husband and I love the grinders. They don’t deliver to our area because we live across 16 acres area. But there always good and we’ve ordered many different items from here and it’s always been delicious. The prices are reasonable. They don’t get 5 stars only because they leave the doors open and flys are always around while we sit and eat in. They should really get an air conditioning system. But other then that the food is delicious

I called in a carry out order about 5PM on 8÷9÷15. I repeated the order to the lady on the phone. When I arrived the and paid for the pizza, my change did not seem right. When I question the cashier who also took my order, she asked me what I ordered. She corrected the change and I asked for a receipt. She said the receipt will come with the pizza. After I waited 7 minutes I received my pizza and looked at the receipt — which was different again from the change I should have gotten. When I question her again it turns out they made the wrong pizza. I don’t know why she did not say this 7 minutes earlier when I questioned her about the change and she fixed the order in the computer. We went around and around and she finally offered to make a new pizza. When I asked her to repeat the order she said«she had it» Again I asked her to repeat the order and she said«If you are going to be rude you can go elsewhere» With that I took my $ 20 back and ordered from Empire Pizza. I don’t appreciate unethical cashiers and rude behavior. She should have told me they were making the wrong pizza when she corrected the change on the $ 20. Instead I waited 7 minuted for a pizza I did not order and was blamed for not correcting her on the phone. This cashier needs some serious customer service training. I will not be returning to Paramount and will no longer suggest this place to my bar customers.(They order pizza/subs at least once a night.)

I arrived quite late, just enough time to place an order before they began turning the lights off actually, and was thankful they took my order quickly. As I waited quite a while for my one slice of pizza to come out, several bugs were seen meandering around the table. I guess that happens when you leave the door open in the summertime, so I didn’t put full blame anywhere. But when my slice of cheese arrived nearly 15 minutes later over cooked and looking pitiful, the expression on my face was strong enough for the owner to ask me if everything was okay. When I shared my opinions, he said he asked if I wanted a pepperoni as a replacement, because that’s all he had left. I let him know I was vegetarian and he said that’s all he had. I asked for a refund, to which he made me wait an additional two minutes before he laughed it off asking if I wanted him to make a cheese slice for me. I’m not even sure if he was listening to me. I left my slice by the trash can across the street. And I won’t make the mistake of stopping by here again.

So, my boyfriend and I ordered a large paramount special pizza maybe two nights ago and I just had to write a review. Normally their pizza is really good but on this occasion it was disgusting. The only reason I kept eating the pizza was because I was hungry and I had a few drinks. The pizza was soggy, greasy and just tasted old. The dough was thin and kind of brown looking, like they had made the dough the day before or something. They way they cut the veggies made it even more difficult to eat. Some chunky pieces here and then string-thin pieces there. This just left a bad taste in my mouth(no pun intended) and I don’t think I will order from here again.

Best pizza ive had in MA. Ive been a loyal customer since ’05, and even though i live in front of a pizzaria, i still order from them. They deliver late night as well, i think ive got pizza delivered from them after 12AM!

Definitely the FIRST time since I moved from NYC that I found a slice made the proper way. You get 10 points just for not putting slices of tomato on bread like the rest of Massachusetts. However, there was almost no sauce to taste and the extra cheese on top of the pepperoni is totally unnecessary. Overall a decent slice, I’d come back.

I first discovered this little hole in the wall several years ago after a night of partying with friends at the Hippodrome in Springfield. I would consider their pizza back then to be the best in Springfield. I decided to try Paramount Pizza again after a hiatus of several years and was pleased to see and taste that their pizza is still as good as ever. The one thing that makes their New York style pizza so delicious is the crust. It is slightly doughy but also ever so crispy. I know that most people tend to throw away the pizza crust after eating all of the cheesy goodness off pizzas, but you do not want to throw this crust away! One bite and you will be hooked. The interior is rather ugly with four beat-up tables, a TV on the wall, and just the counter where you can order your food. This place is definitely not designed to be a sit-down diner as most of their business is take-out or delivery. The area of town is slightly seedy as it is on the edge of the business district and on the edge of the entertainment district.
