Glad we came across this hidden gem during a marathon Sunday shopping session! We wanted something quick and cheap for lunch, and this fit the bill really well. We started with the fresh spring rolls. The veggies were crunchy and fresh, the meat tasty, and they held together very well. The peanut sauce was a highlight(as it usually is by nature) and I appreciated that we each got our own ramekin of sauce so as not to prevent double(triple, quadruple…) dipping! We both got bahn mis, I got the plain pork and boo got pork and pâté. I went in kind of hoping for a chicken option, but no such thing on the menu. Given how friendly the staff was, I kind of wondered if they would have made one on request! But the pork was delicious. I had assumed that I would be full before I finished the sandwich — they are generously sized, especially for $ 4 — and planned to give boo my leftovers. However, I couldn’t stop until it was all gone! It was so tasty! I did have to pick out the jalapeño, cut them up, and put them back in — even though there were only 2 or 3 slices, apparently I am a wimp! I wouldn’t ask that it be left out though, since it’s an integral taste to the sandwich. Like I said, the service was very good — friendly and quick! For most of our visit, we were the only customers dining in; it didn’t feel like they were hovering or obsequious, but our water glasses were always full and our plates were quickly cleared. The ambience is pretty spare, but I did think some of the plates hanging on the wall were surprisingly pretty! I’m sad that this is on the other side of town, and is in a strip mall that seems to be on the downslide. I hope they keep up the good work and continue to thrive! Food snob cred: We lived in CA for more than a decade, so we know when«ethnic» foods taste good. Ha ha. :)

Fantastic! I’ve had phở from coast to coast and this place is delicious! The broth is amazing! The service was an added bonus to the great food! The chef even came out to check on us!

Had the phở tai chin and unsweetened tea. Phở was lacking something in the broth — wasn’t bad though. The spring rolls lacked noodles which was odd. Nice staff. Decently priced.

I thought the food was very similar to Bambu but the service was a thousand times friendlier and the dining room ten thousand times cleaner! I had the broken rice with Vietnamese meatloaf, shredded & grilled pork and daikon. My husband wanted the vegan banh mi but they were sadly out of bread at our dinner visit — we’ll be back to try it another time. He loved the veggie roll appetizer. I was sad when Rolls & Bowls closed down, but Phở Kim gave me hope. This will likely be my new go to for Vietnamese in Springfield.

This place is awesome! the Phở is delicious and comes out piping hot and served with all of the accompaniments such as fresh basil, cilantro, and bean sprouts. The brisket, eye of round and meatballs are delicious. The noodles are well cooked and plentiful in the dish. This will definitely fill you up and warm your insides. The service is great and the food comes out really quick. The price is very reasonable for such a large bowl. If you like Phở then you will really enjoy this place. Be sure to check it out if you are in the area.

Stopped in for my Viet fix and ordered the Phở dac biet everything was great except the noodles were slightly over cooked other than that the broth was very flavorful and steaming hot. I also had the fresh spring rolls app and the peanut hoisin dipping sauce was very yummy.

Now that Lam Tuyen is closed, this is the best place for phở in Springfield, MO. The owner is often there, and always has a big smile and wants to make sure you have a great experience. A smallish place, the food is delicious. Sometimes the server can make mistakes, so make sure to speak up if your order of spring rolls was misplaced or the fixin’s for the phở were forgotten in the kitchen. I’ve only had their phở, but it is healthy and fresh tasting, without all the MSG saltiness crap that other Vietnamese places in Springfield seem to love. Haven’t had a chance to try the banh mi yet(I’m pregnant and nauseous a lot and had a bad experience with banh mi early in my pregnancy, so I’m waiting until after the baby arrives to try theirs as I don’t want to taint my first taste of banh mi in Springfield, MO). I absolutely loved banh mi before I was pregnant, so I can’t wait to try theirs as I’ve heard amazing things!

Started with BICUONCHAY — VEGETABLESPRINGROLL and then BUNBOHUE — SPICYBEEFNOODLESOUP. The spring rolls were incredible. Fresh, crispy, herbaceous and the peanut sauce for dipping was just as good. I could have had 2 more and not feel guilty. The soup was a massive bowl and way nor than I could eat at one sitting. The aroma was the first thing that told me that this was going to be more that just good. It didn’t disappoint. The noodle were done just perfect and not«mushy» at all. The server brought fresh herbs and bean sprouts as well as fresh jalapeño slices. Wow, the meat were tender and full of flavor and the broth was perfectly salty and spicy as well as full of flavor. The service was spot on. She guided us on our questions and was very helpful in us choosing our dishes. So don’t be shy come try this great spot. Even saw the lady in the back come out and smile at everyone enjoying their meal. Welcome to Flavortown.

I love the banh mi. Cannot help myself. I’m not picky when it comes to this yummy Vietnamese sandwich on a French baguette. I personally add a little bit of hoisen and chili oil. So good. Also, the staff is super sweet. They are all very caring and you never have to wait if you need something or have any questions. Now, I have a couple dishes I have tried here that are not the best. And if they would work at fixing some of them I’d give them a 5 star rating. Go here, don’t get the curry. Go for the phở or a banh mi.

A Vietnamese spot full of dichotomy with the clean, stark aesthetic of the dining area as simple as the Phở broths are complex & rich! I devoured the CHICKENCURRYNOODLEBOWL — slightly clunky breaking up the long-marinated, highly-seasoned chicken chunks — but good to know it is quality protein. I doff my hat to the PHO with BRISKET&MEATBALLS whose broth will make you hope for a common cold so you had reason to slurp it all week long! I thought the EYEOFROUNDBEEF to be leathery so stick to the aforementioned options or try CHICKEN or PORK instead. Non fried SPRINGROLLS are the heavenly healthy choice(with SHRIMP) without sacrificing anything alongside an awesome PEANUTDIPPINGSAUCE. I didn’t believe anyplace could knock Bambu off their pedestal(and they didn’t), but make some room as this place now sits side-by-side, atop, with them! UPDATE: I will say my 2nd visit was quite good but not as jaw dropping for some reason. Apparently, «nothing beats your 1st time» includes Vietnamese – who knew!!!

We tried this restaurant for the first time today. The food was very fresh and tasted great. The service was fast and our server was friendly. I wish there was more vegetarian/vegan options on the menu besides the vegan rolls. Reasonable prices and fresh food. We will definitely be back, especially if there are more vegetarian/vegan options are on the menu.

They’re very accommodating! I like beef and chicken in my Phó and they have no problem with that. Egg rolls are nice and crispy and very flavorful. We drive an hour to come here and are never disappointed. Bubble Tea! Yum!

This is my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant, I was impressed. We went for a quick dinner because we didn’t feel like cooking. I ordered the phở with brisket and meatballs which I loved. The broth was very rich and flavorful, the add-ins they brought to the table were all clean and fresh, nothing mangey. The meats had great rich flavor too. The portion, as is normal with phở, was huge. She got the bahn-mi sandwich, which was very flavorful. It was not huge but it was very cheap compared to other places. About $ 3, and it was well worth that. We also split the spring rolls, which we enjoyed and would recommend, and she got a taro bubble tea(our normal flavor) which was also good. On top of that the restaurant was very clean and quaint, well kept. Service was excellent! We were greeted right in the door, sat immediately, and our server was extremely friendly and jumped right in with recommendations when we told her we hadn’t been there before. She stayed attentive all through the meal. We got our food lightning fast too. This was a wonderful experience for a quick, casual meal, and a great value to boot. Definitely give it a shot.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner last week. It was a nicely decorated place with an even nicer owner. She asked if we had been in before and when we said no she recommended some popular choices. She was very attentive and so so nice. I ordered the brisket and rare beef phở, my boyfriend got the same, and as an appetizer we got their fried egg rolls. As a drink I also ordered a strawberry boba smoothie. The appetizers came out fast and hot. They had shrimp inside of them and came with this yummy dipping sauce. My smoothie came out and was fresh and yummy. The tapioca balls were a bit hard but it was a cold drink. The phở came out and smelled so delicious. I added bean sprouts, basil, parsley and some jalapeño peppers to my phở and topped it off with a bit of siracha sauce. The rice noodles were so much fun to slurp and the meat was great. Next time I think I’ll just get the rare beef as it was my favorite. The prices were reasonable and the portions were great. I recommend it!

It’s not often that I’m this impressed with any restaurant. Delicious food, wonderful owner and staff and great prices. The owner makes you feel welcome as if you’ve walked into your own home. If you don’t see the owner while you’re there, just ask your waitress and she will be more than happy to introduce you to the owner. The owner sincerely loves meeting the customers and seems to remember you if you if you’ve only been there once. As wonderful as the owner is, the food is equally great. And with prices like this, You can afford to try a few things. My personal favorite order is the BM2, the phở with brisket, A Thai tea and a Boba smoothie. The Boba smoothie is weird when you hear about it but it is so wonderful. You have to try it. It is a strawberry smoothie with little juice filled bubbles. Yes, you chew them and pop them in your mouth. When you receive your soup or any other food for that matter, it is at the absolute perfect temperature every time. I enjoy a very hot soup and it is served hot enough to be enjoyed by everyone but not so hot that it is scalding. If you order a soup, they will bring you a plate with cilantro, Bean sprouts a slice of lime and a few slices of jalapeño along with the most delicious Thai basil I have ever had. All thiscan be mixed into your soup, omitting any ingredients you do not prefer. I’m not a huge jalapeño fan but this allowed me to discover that I like jalapenos with lime juice on them. I should also mention that you can ask for a knife to cut up the cilantro and basil before you put it in your soup. Let the cilantro and basil steep while you enjoy your tai tea. Whatever you choose, it will be delicious, it will be a great price and you will return. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention; bring your appetite! The soups and salads are big.
