Goodbye QBall. I’ll never find a bar as inviting and amazing. The bartenders there can not be replaced. I love you all and wish you all the best. Springfield lost a great asset.

I am a regular at Qball and have no complaints. The staff is awesome. The owners are awesome. The new menu is great. It’s a great place to chill with friends and one of the few places left around here where you can smoke inside. My only gripe is people that take over the jukebox and play all country music. Ugh.

Q Ball is a man cave where you can watch the game, enjoy a libation, and smoke a stogie. I have eaten here several times and everything we ordered has been delicious.
I especially enjoy the wings. I love their Sammich (sandwich). The owner and staff are always friendly and checks to makes sure everything taste good.
The restaurant is clean and the food comes out quick and hot! I highly recommend eating here, drininking, and more importantly smoking a cigar.

It’s a place you can go to and relax. Or not. You can play pool if you like or just chill at the bar. The food is good olé fashion bar food. The atmosphere is a mix of friendly and leave me the heck alone. I’m reminded of Ludacris 4:9 «Don’t startith nothin, won’t beith nothin.» The staff is amazing as I never go thirsty or lack good conversation. It’s my dysfunctional home away from home.

QBall is awesome!!! I come hear for the loud music and drunken debauchery. It’s perfect!

The reviews here are all over the place because some people see it as a bar with pool tables, and others see it as a pool hall with a bar.
If you’re serious about pool and simply want to play on clean, level, near-​perfect tables… this is your place. If that’s your only priority, consider this a 5-​star.
It’s the best equipment in northern VA.
If you care about the bar, music, food, TVs, and all that other stuff, it’s not perfect.
The food ranges from average to terrible. It’s a little smoky some nights.
The music can be obnoxious, it’s a young crowd and there’s lots of dubstep on the jukebox.
My only real complaint as a player is that it’s expensive. They know they’re the best and charge accordingly. There’s a dinky 10% break for APA members and that’s it. Not a single table time special, ever. All other pool halls have one. A typical night out can run $ 50+ just for table time, and we’ve topped $ 100 before.
Still, there are other pluses besides equipment… staff is friendly and waitresses mostly are attentive even if you’re not buying food and alcohol. There are heated 3-​cushion billiards tables (not that common in the area) and the owner will even show you a thing or two on them.
This is probably my favorite place to play pool, I’ll drive an hour to play here.

The service here inspired me to write this review. The bartender and waitress were very attentive and friendly and even the guy checking ids was really nice. Didn’t try the food so can’t comment on that. There are plenty of pool tables and TVs so we were able to watch the football game while we played. If you’re a non smoker this place is probably not enjoyable as you can smoke at the tables. Not the nicest décor but if you’re looking for a chill spot to drink and shoot pool this place is pretty good.

Great local dive. Pool tables and staff are great. Only thing that sucks is the smoke. Hopefully VA cracks down soon on the smoking in bars cuz it sucks.

It’s been there for a while now and it has a laid back atmosphere. It’s filled with people who know and enjoy what they’re doing. The service was friendly enough, checked in with me a couple times to refill my drinks.

Not impressed. Been there twice … Service is ok. Not a great place to watch sports. Pool tables are good. Just not a friendly atmosphere that’s for sure.

Professional quality pool tables, the best in the DC area. There are about 20 9 foot tables and one with tight pockets. There are also two small and one large 3-​cushion tables with heated slate, which is a game I love to play. All tables have Simonis brand cloth.

Q Ball has the best pool tables in the tri-​state area. The food is decent for a local bar and drinks are always extra strong. The TV’s are 46″ plasmas and there is a smoking room to accomodate everyone. Im not too sure how you water down beer but this guy andrew is a little insane… no one has ever begged for a tip, the employees just make sure that people know that they live off of tips. The staff is amazing and pool players would die to have these tables at their local pool halls. Pool balls are also polished daily, which is way more than other pool halls.

I feel as if I should update this review since a fellow Unilocaler was so quick to defend this joint. I Used to drink here all the time. After hitting some other places in some other close-​by places, I’ve abandon all hope in this venue. Here’s why:
The place isn’t flashy. It’s a typical dive bar.
It has the same old clientele it always has/​will have. You’re unlikely to meet new and interesting people here.
The pool tables are indeed not level. House cue’s are on their way out.
The beer is fine, it’s the service if you have a table (a regular table, not a pool table) that isn’t. I’ve never had a waiter/​waitress come up to my table more than twice. You’re almost expected to go to the bar to get a drink. If you make me do the work, why should I tip? Let me be lazy, I’m paying for a service after all and I’m not the one at work. The place is smokey as hell. I actually smoke and I’m offended.
Give me some old school upright video games and a crane operated stuffed animal machine… Give me anything other than a jukebox that is stuck in the 90’s and a punching bag to prove my manly over-​macho-​ness and some dart boards.
In response to the comment about begging for a tip: Stop being so defensive. All you have to do is look at their fucking facebook page. Under their quotes, it reads: «If you can’t tip then get your 40oz. and go the fuck home…» ‘Nuff said. This is my opinion. I’m sure they make quite enough from other people that frequent the place. Feel free to silently ignore it and move on with your existence. Remember, having one review doesn’t exactly qualify you as a credible source.
Listen, I’m not trying to be mean or give a bad rating for fun, but just go some other places and simply compare what environment you get in relation to Qball. I’m not 21 anymore and I expect more for my money. If you ARE 21 though, expect a raucus good time talking to the people you’ve been talking to for years and ones you’ve forgotten existed!

Q Ball is another one of those places in Springfield where the clientele all know each other, mostly since high school, and everyone is itching to get super wasted. They have a ton of pool tables, so you don’t have to wait around often.

My thoughts on Q Ball:
— Fun place to go shoot some pool
— Lots of tables so not much waiting around to get a table
— Lots of TV around
— Pretty good happy hour specials throughout the week
— Love their Steak and Cheese sandwich and their wings
— Can be smoky, but what do expect in a pool hall
— Better off ordering drinks directly from the bar than to wait for waitress
This place has been around a long time but the owner constantly updates the place, whether it is environment or it is their menu.
Place is pretty laid back and it is a fun place to shoot some pool.
