I can’t speak to the fabric and quilting part of this business, but they have a sharpening service which is outstanding. I took a bunch of knives in to be sharpened and came out not only with knives that can cut through the toughest, most awkwardly-​shaped squash with perfect ease, but thanks to the owner’s husband, who does all the sharpening, I got a free lesson in how to keep my knives sharp for as long as possible. He didn’t charge me for one pair of scissors that in his estimation were not in a condition to be sharpened to perfection. When I stopped in a week later with my paper cutter, he kindly explained how I had been pulling the blade down in a way that was less efficient at cutting, making it seem dull. He told me it didn’t need to be sharpened at all, and I left with a working paper cutter and nary a dime poorer. I will definitely go back.
