Red Wing Shoe Store

I would originally have given this place much more than one star. They ordered what I wanted and treated me with respect. There was an issue with the boots they ordered for me not fitting properly… I always wore a size 13 but they insisted I needed a size 12. They came in and were too small. Okay, no big deal. People make mistakes. They gladly ordered a pair in size 13. I stopped by to try them on. Well, the last used for these boots leaves them with a very low arch which crushed the top of my foot. I’ve never experienced this with any other last, so I’m not sure what Redwing was doing here… and I own a lot of nice boots. Regardless, the moment I said I couldn’t take these boots because it literally hurt me to walk, the lady stopped talking to me, slammed the boots into the box, and took them to the back. I apologized that I couldn’t buy boots that I simply would not wear, and instead of being understanding, she said «Yeah, well, you should’ve thought about that before you had us order two pairs for you to try on!» and stormed away. I told her to have a good day, but she just gave me an evil glare as I walked out the store.
They’re great if you’re handing them cash, but not so friendly if you don’t purchase their products.
I will never step foot in this store again.

I love redwing shoes and have worn them my entire life. Unfortunately after ordering a pair of boots from these guys the soles on both those looked like they were cut out by a drunken pothead. When I asked the guy at the shop what to do about it he basically said I am out of luck. All I wanted was to exchange them for a pair that was not an irregular shape. These boots were nearly 300.00 so I do not think I was asking for too much. I would not take a chance with these guys.
