Rib Shack

The ribs are Rib Shack are absolutely everything!!! I can’t even put it into words. They are just amazing. I have been to most BBQ places in Kansas City and Rib Shack is still at the top of the list. The reason I don’t give 5 stars is due to the fact sometimes the sides are hit or miss. I religiously get the ribs, potato salad, and baked beans. Sometimes the baked beans are great and other times they are mediocre. Even with that being said, this is without a doubt the best ribs in Springfield. PERIOD. Oh and I forgot to add that the owner and her staff are just the kindest people ever.
Oh and FYI, the times listed on here are not right. I believe the hours are Monday thru Friday 4p-​9p, Saturday 11a-​9p and Sunday Closed. These times are only applicable to this location.

Worst ribs EVER!!! Boiled pork slab!!! Have been wanting to try these guys out ever since they opened on the south side but never never again. We got carry out of we would have ask for our money back. We ordered a slab of ribs and two sides. The ribs had been boiled and might have seen a grill but there was no smoke taste just «icky» boiled pork taste, Mac and cheese was mushy was way way over cooked, fries were good! Take your money and eat ANYWHERE else!!!

This Memphis boy knows BBQ. I just finished a great meal of brisket and ribs with fried okra, fried green tomatoes, sweet potato fries, and coleslaw. The ribs were meaty and the brisket extremely tender. Barbecue sauce on the side was very good, too. Everyone has their own ideas on what is great bbq., but I don’t think you will be disappointed. Try it and you will go back for more.

Personable, kind, and hard working. Best small BBQ joint in the Queen City. Be sure to try the Big Max or anything similar. Warm sauce with every meal makes it even better.
