Barcade is such a nerdy little joint. It is no longer a strip club, thank god, and now has been replaced with a second level arcade. Every time I’ve been the only fee we’re charged in a beer and then can continue on with all the Pacman our hearts desire. It’s never been very busy, but I usually not a night owl. The drinks are pretty good and super cheap, bartenders are friendly. There are some quirky things– the bartenders text your tab back and forth to each other if you get a drink downstairs then upstairs, but whatever works.

This review is for Barcade, the place that replaced Rokbar. Basically, if you haven’t figured it out from the portmanteau of «bar» and«arcade», that’s what it is. Big plus: as long as you’re drinking, you play all the arcade games for free. My friend and I have been here several times during weeknights and there’s a pretty good crowd. Surprisingly, the drinks are mixed well and they all come in «tall» $ 8 versions, which is my preference. Upstairs is the arcade with some fantastic staple games that anyone who is a few years over drinking age can really appreciate. Not only are there arcade games, but several flat screens with console systems set up. Downstairs is beer pong and karaōke. The bathrooms are exactly the same as when it was Rokbar and so is the black light and mirrored staircase(ahhh great nostalgic memories). Great place to just kick back, have a few drinks, and a good time.

Interesting place for sure… — 1 star for being in missouri — 1 more star for being in springfield, missouri. Apparently this is a strip club but didn’t realize it til we went upstairs. Downstairs was a well decorated but empty bar payng literally rock and roll, like new rock and roll as if people actually listen to that nowadays. Upstairs was also very well done decorated modern and chic with pounding hip hop. There was a small crowd mostly surrounded around the small stage with a topless chick dancing. none of the girls were hot but i didnt have much for expectations. drinks were super cheap but a good amount of booze although the vodka did taste about one step above rubbing alcohol but hey it works ya know? overall the people were friendly and it wasnt a bad time. id say if ths place was open anywhere but springfield, mo it may have been ok. also the dj was bad, not bad track selection but bad mixing, I think we had just bought oueselves some turntables and some dj software and we were learning on the fly
