RSVPaint is a Springfield hit! Recently, I attended Paint your Pet night at RSVPaint. I am NO artist and can barely draw a decent stick family. How it works — Paint Your Pet Night is offered once a month. You email the pic of your pet(cat, dog, bird, whatever) and reserve your seat. Show up and your pet is sketched in pencil on the canvas. Yes, it is «cheating» and SO much easier than freehanded. The staff has the brushes and acrylic paint ready for your use. There is a brief«formal» introduction by one of the staff members and a short tutorial on how to get started. From there, you are on your own! The staff walks around and gives helpful hints as you progress w/your painting. I started off pretty good w/my pet’s color, but bombed her«face». My precious pup looked like a funky cat. One of the artists(I wish I could remember the lady’s name) helped me «fix» the face. Okay, well, she fixed the face for me. She was very nice and asked if I wanted her to paint on my canvas — YESPLEASE! Bottom line, I left w/a portrait I love and will eventually hang somewhere in my home. The price is very reasonable and the staff exceptional. They offer date nights(VERYCOOL), open painting and private parties. It would be so cool to have a shower or group of friends reserve a night. My sister has painted both of her Chihuahuas(she did great!) and I hope to return to paint my Dixie. RSVPaint has artwork on display(see posted pics). There is some phenomenal work! You can bring wine or(I think) purchase some beverages onsite. Would definitely return and recommend!
