New location and a very nice selection. Clean and offers a nice variety of indo/pak groceries.

Shri Krishna Grocery is a small Indian grocery store in Springfield. There are many Indian, Middle Eastern, and Asian other stores and restaurants in the shopping center. It carries many familiar and popular Indian items, such as tea, spices, henna, and sweets. I purchased Assam tea, cardamom pods, and dried cloves. They are all from India. Their produce section is not as impressive. I’d recommend going to the larger Asian grocery stores like Lotte and H Mart for produce.

Excellent grocery store– & clean –much better than the earlier store which was a mess & overcrowded. The staff is helpful & there is enough variety as one would need. Curry leaves were OK. My only recommendation is please get the fish tamarind we use in Kerala – its black & we use it in fish curry– called Kodumpulli & this is not kokum which you carry. In order to get this tamarind to make Kerala fish curry, I had to go to another store in Vienna– just for the tamarind.

Wonderful supermarket with authentic Indian groceries. We loved the variety of dried legumes, spices, and mixes, as well as the fresh produce(they have curry leaves!). We appreciated the helpful and friendly staff, the wide array of quality ingredients, and the take-out items. Their samosas are delicious. We definitely will be back.

Super friendly owners who are usually on site and helpful. Large variety of goods available from dry, frozen, breakfast, fruits, vegetables, minute meal, condiments, etc, etc. Popular in the neighborhood and surrounding DMV. Definitely consider when looking for an Indian grocery store.

If you’re looking for imported mangoes(Alphonso, Kesar), this is your spot. Call ahead to see what they have, but know that you can’t open the cases. This year, the Kesar mangoes were $ 35/case, and I had 12 perfect, individually netted mangoes to savor for a couple of weeks… not bad, considering how expensive these are to order online. They have a wide range of spices, pre-made foods, and goodies by the cashier for last minute snacks. Easy to find off of Backlick Road, in the Brookfield Plaza – on the right side of the plaza.

My family’s go-to Indian grocery store. Fully stocked and great service. The owners are so friendly and very genuine. They have this policy that if you don’t like something because it’s a bad quality or it’s the wrong stuff then bring it back and they’ll complain to the company for you :) The produce is limited because it’s a small store but is very fresh and better quality then American grocery stores. It’s also WAYCHEAPER! I got two bunches of green onion for $ 1 and each bunch has twice the amount and is larger in size than the amount I buy from American grocers. Not sure if they have non-veggie items but if they do they would keep it in the frozen section. They’re located in such a convenient location because if you’re coming from 495, 95, or 395 headed south bound and passing through Springfield it will be located on your right in Brookfield Plaza on your way home. This is why they haven’t decided to move their store for more space. They also have a restaurant located at the corner of the shopping center called Hot Bakes & Cakes– I hear their cakes are amazing but I’m not into Indian cakes however I hear their regular items are great and that they cater.

Cashiers will only accept credit cards for purchases totaling $ 10 or more! The staff members are all very helpful, patient, and kind. The Nepali man and young woman also speak Hindi, which is great! I buy a lot of junk food from here: Maggie noodles(similar to Ramen, but with Indian spices) cookies, Cake Rusk, Pakola, Halal Crispy Treats(2 for $ 1), chips(cool Lay’s varieties like Ketchup). It’s awesome. All of the staff members know my mom by name. She’s the real duchess of Krishna Grocery!

2 aisles of Indian spices, mixes, frozen foods, sweets, and even some produce. It’s no Wegmans or Giant, it is an Indian Grocery store and you’ll see a TON of stuff packed into this shop. All you could need to make yourself an Indian meal, from scratch or in the microwave is right here. If you, like myself, can’t cook Indian from scratch but enjoy cooking there are is ridiculous amounts of packaged sauces and mixes to help you out. If not, they have a pretty decent sized freezer section full of all sorts of Indian foods, from naans and roti, daal and curries, and don’t forget to get buy some mango ice cream. Go down one aisle and up the other to the registers, which are conveniently located next to the sweets and somosas you want to buy too. So instead of paying more than you should by going to your regular grocery store chain for that special ingredient you’ve never heard of to make this really good Indian recipe you found — just go to an Indian grocery store. Easy.
