Is nothen but a scammer leads you down there with one price then raises it then tells you theres more problems when there’s not just to get more money place is a joke

Agreeing with the last reviewer, and wanting to help with business however I can.
Silk’s is right near the highway and they open at 8 and have Saturday hours too.
I was really worried about a check engine light on my 2000 Civic, and I literally just pulled in off the highway while driving back from a trip to NYC. It was a pre-​holiday weekend time as well.
I had already put more than a hundred miles on the car since the light went on, so I was concerned — just didn’t have the time to stop until that morning. I called ahead, but nobody had picked up prior to 8 a.m.
Still, it was really easy to find off the I-​91 exit for City Center, and sure enough, someone was there and ready to take a peek at just after 8 a.m.
I spoke with Joe, who warned me before having me pull my car in that they’d be too backed-​up to do any work on it until the next day, but I said I just wanted to see if it was a big deal or not, and he agreed to do the diagnostic with the computer.
Sure enough, there was an issue with my catalytic converter. He read me the code so I could bring it up with another auto shop, but also explained what the issue I’m facing is, so I could assess whether it would be safe enough for me to finish my drive (which was 3 more hours on the road.)
I saw Kevin’s awards all over the walls — he’s the owner — and told them I found out about them on Unilocal.
The shop was quite immaculate, and really, I couldn’t ask for friendlier service. The rates I think are in the high 80s –per-​hour, but it’s super convenient, and very willing to help out. They are also open sometimes on the weekends, and Kevin did wind up returning my call when he got in and checked the messages, so A+ for follow through!
Would surely try this place again if I’m on that route and need some service. Thumbs up.

While in the Springfield area for the long Thanksgiving weekend, we found ourselves having car troubles. After trying several dealerships and repair shops the Friday of T-​giving weekend, we were told the car might not be able to be looked at until Saturday or Monday. We called Silk’s Auto Repair, and Kevin told us to bring the car over and he’d take a look at it. He ended up staying late on Friday evening to repair the car so we could get back on the road that weekend. The car runs great now… Silk’s offers great customer service and excellent work!
