They pride themselves in customer satisfaction and skilled sytlist, however, when I went there I got a bad cut. I didn’t notice it before because they blow dryed my hair and styled it– after I showered I notice how thick and uneven the sides were. It looked nothing like the picture I showed them I wanted. I left a review on their Facebook and they reached out to me wanting to make things right. When I called and emailed their Manager Amanda — she never returned my call or emailed me back. I guess they just put out all that apology cap on public to make people think they actually care, but if you read their other reviews of bad service most people say they never got in touch with them again. Poor customer service and bad haircuts — I do not recommend and will not be returning!

Both of my daughters had their hair cut at Studio 417, and I was very happy with the results of the cut. I scheduled an appointment for my daughter a month in advance for a cut. On the day of her appointment, Studio 417 called to cancel and reschedule her appointment.(Out of 3 appointments, 2 have been canceled by Studio 417, and had to be rescheduled, and one started 15 min late) This was quite an inconvenience, but I scheduled for 2 days later. On the day of my daughters appointment, who was very excited to finally get her hair done, I was running late and called Studio 417 to let them know. I arrived 7 minutes late, and was refused service. I explained to them I had a appointment 2 days earlier which was canceled causing me to reschedule on a day and time not as convenient for me. I was only 7 minutes late, and called ahead. I drove 30 minutes just to get to the appointment. They didn’t care, and told me and my daughter we could reschedule for the next day. They stylist never even came out from the back to speak to us, she just had the receptionist talk to us. I was very upset, and my daughter was very disappointed. I called back to let them know how unhappy I was with their customer service. I spoke to a manger who was very nice and apologetic. She explained their policy is if a customer is 15 minutes late, they require a reschedule. She told me our appointment had not been scheduled appropriately, the stylist wasn’t scheduled enough time to complete my daughters cut before the next appointment. She apologized for the way our appointment was handled, and said she was sorry and did offer us a discount to return. I appreciate her kindness, but I don’t want to take my children to a salon that cares so little for their customers. Sadly, I will not be back to Studio 417.

Studio 417 is hands down the best salon in the Springfield metro area(and arguably in the US). Many of the stylists have extensive continued education, as it is highly important to the owners to support and create programs for the stylists to keep learning. Their customer service is top notch and they always carry the highest quality product lines. The best part about this salon is that there is such a range of stylists with different experience levels that is can be accessible to just about anyone(read-you can pay very little or a lot depending on experience level). Even the assistants are trained better than your average licensed hairdresser! One of the best businesses in Springfield!

Wow. SO disappointed! My boyfriend got me a gift card here for Xmas. I went in this morning to have Mindy cut my hair. When I made the appointment I told them I needed layers and a strengthening treatment. When I got there she said«so we’re just doing a trim right?» Ummm… No. I asked for long choppy layers because I have wavy hair I like to air dry, but right now its too heavy to wave so I just end up with straight hair with wavy ends. Plus i have a bit of an edgy style and like the long, kind of shaggy look. She basically did nothing. The wash, cut, and dry took less than 30 mins. My hair doesn’t even look different. Its still heavy and the«layers» she added are impossible to find. I paid $ 45 for a trim pretty much. And she did not do my strengthening treatment. So sad. My boyfriend and sister both thought I had canceled the appointment because there is no difference. 100% not worth the price.

I have been going to see Jared there for almost 2 years. I can’t even begin to explain how amazing he is! His ability to work with naturally curly hair is impeccable. He has a wonderful easy-going personality and is a delight to visit with. I have seriously wavy/curly hair and always want a haircut that isn’t difficult to maintain. He can cut and style my hair to MY specifications and to help ME be able to maintain it and keep it looking good. Not many stylists can do that. SEEJARED. HEISAMAZING. :) The salon is not overwhelmingly spacious but very classy and the décor and vibe is very nice. The other people who work there are always very friendly to me and in the past whenever I’ve ever had a problem(just once) the owner contacted me and sorted it out with a free haircut. They are definitely a great group of people and I will always ALWAYS see Jared at Studio 417 as long as I can.

wonderful customer service and a very relaxing enjoyable atmosphere. My stylist Kristi cut and colored my hair exactly how I asked. Well worth the money.
