Absolutely awful Mexican food. I was misled by decent Unilocal reviews. Avoid at any cost. Basically tastes like the food you were served in the cafeteria in elementary school.

Really high priced for average food. They charge for refills. Maybe this is a coincidence but my fiancé got sick after eating here. He had nacho grande and a sancho and I had chips with cheese/mild sauce and a Sancho. The girl at the counter was super friendly though.

I love Taco Gringo! I go there very often for their nacho grande with sour cream. I dont know what the other reviewers ate that they felt compelled to leave negative comments. I wouldn’t say that it’s gourmet, but it’s fast food and it’s delicious. Try the cinnamon chips or the cheesecake chimichangas.

I used to eat Taco Gringo years ago when I lived in Springfield. I had to go back here for a Sancho when I visited 30 years later. Not bad. Brought back memories. You have to stop in and have a Sancho. I do not see anything like this in Northern California. Not bad nachos either. Not gourmet but not bad for fast food.

Have you ever gone to a Taco Bell and paid $ 4 for items on the dollar menu? I have. It’s called going to Taco Gringo. What’s worse is that it’s not even any good. At least I could file Taco Bell under the guilty pleasure category… AND it is easy on the wallet. This place just made me feel guilty.
I paid almost $ 6 for the worse «nacho grande» I’ve ever encounter (find a much better version for 80 cents or so at TB). $ 3 for cheese fries and $ 2.50 for «mexican apple pie»… both were also mistakes. My total was $ 12.06 and all I accomplished was punishing my body and leaving unsatisfied.
If you like paying premium prices for premium disappointment, then run, don’t walk, to this place.
