I was looking to get some acupuncture done and this place was close and had a ton of solid reviews. I was able to make an appointment the same day and was greeted by a very nice gentleman. Everything was explained to me about the procedure. The procedure itself was different, but not uncomfortable. He even pointed out to me what I already knew, but didn’t say anything about. I will be returning for a massage and acupuncture very soon. Prices are extremely reasonable for the time allotted.

Cannot say enough great things about these guys! The place doesn’t feel the cleanest but for the price they give the best massages! And they’re so kind! Will be back here weekly! Wow!!!

A really great, reasonably priced, no frills deep tissue massage and foot reflexology. I go often and stay between 30 – 45 minutes. The stations are separated by curtains, and you should come in quietly to respect others. The place is clean, and the soothing music adds to the experience. Everyone is so nice. At a dollar a minute on hard days after work this place makes me feel wonderful and perfectly relaxed and ready for bed. Quite a gem.

I have been to accucare frequently in the past and have shied away because of the lack of knowledge the«therapist’s» have when giving a massage. Being a massage therapist myself I know what is expected. well today I was once again disappointed. My lower back is so sore and is swollen and now bruised. I just wanted to warn folks of my BAD massage. if u aren’t satisfied with the session end it.

Wow. I feel great. I just left Taiji massage studio after a one minute therapeutic, deep tissue massage. I went in with an ache in my lower back and some stress pain around my shoulder blades. I don’t think that I have ever had a massage before that so thoroughly relieved the pain and tension that I was experiencing. I will be back, only next time I will have a 2 hour session instead of 1 hour. Truly exceptional!

I use this place quite a bit. I have had foot reflexology and full massages. Some of the therapists are better than others but they all give a good, hard(if you want it) massage that leaves you feeling quite relaxed. There was one review that complained about the atmosphere — for a couples massage. Ridiculous. You can tell this place is no frills and frankly that’s what most people appreciate about it. If you want a luxurious spa environment, go to an expensive spa. For me it’s just not worth it as the massages here are wonderful at a reasonable price.

Yes! This morning my husband and I had simultaneous deep-tissue massages. We were led to separate ‘cubes’ where we were given a few moments to undress and lay face down. Neither of us was asked about our back problems, but our masseuses certainly figured them out quick enough. We were posed with the option for ‘middle’ or ‘hard’; my husband chose ‘middle’. When we debriefed at the end, he said that his masseuse used some sort of roller to get his knots out and that«sometimes it felt like there were two people» working on him. I chose ‘hard’, and my masseuse went at my shoulder knots with dexterous, unrelenting fingers, then utterly demolished my lower back(and buns!) with what felt like her elbow. If you find yourself in that shopping center wondering where to toss your money, remember that you could spend $ 30 for 30 minutes of Outback Steakhouse and feel like total shit afterward, or $ 30 for 30 minutes of deep-tissue work and feel like a champion afterward. It’s up to you, dude.

I found Taiji about a year ago as a recommendation from a friend who is a massage therapist herself. Taiji is no frills, however the quality of massage is beyond anything I’ve ever gotten at higher-priced day spa. Jenny is my favorite masseuse but I’ve had other women who are wonderful as well. I’m a runner and carry a lot of tension in my shoulders and upper back and Jenny is great at working all my huge knots out! FYI: they generally keep you on your stomach to work on your back, but if you tell them that you’d like some time spent on your legs or front shoulders, they will flip you over and accommodate any requests you have :) At $ 30 for 30 minutes, it makes it easier to keep up with regular massage and keep my back feeling great. I’m so glad I found this hidden gem in Springfield!

Read an older review and decided to give this place a shot. I love massages and wiling to try anywhere. For $ 30 that was the best 30 minute massage. I will definitely be back to try an hour massage. At the end, she busted out hot stones. Holy heaven. Hidden gem in Springfield. Yes it’s not a normal set up as you can hear other people and the phone ringing. But the massage will take your mind off that. I almost fell asleep. I’ll be back soon!

I tweaked my neck and was looking for a good and fairly inexpensive massage so I get along with my day. I walked in and they were friendly, explained their services and were able to take me right away. No bells and whistles here, just courteous service. I’m a dancer and remain pretty active– I know I will be back. This was a great find close to where I live.

Just got a massage there today. This was my second or third time there. The atmosphere is like others have mentioned; one big room with shoji like dividers that provide visual privacy so you are not on display. You can hear people talking sometimes but there is relaxing asian style spa music playing in the background that you can get lost in. I just relax and think I traveled to an asian city. There is none of the fluff and stuff of spas, just a great relaxing and tension relieving massage. They find the tough spots and take care of them but do not leave out the rest. I think you should get an hour massage at least because it takes me about 10 to 15 minutes to get my mind to relax. Cost is about 60 bucks for an hour but they have different prices depending on the treatment you get and may offer deals.

I brought my 4.5 year old son there for a special mommy/son activity of foot massages. This is not a place designed for kids, but they welcomed us anyways. They took great care of him: got him something to suck on when he sounded congested, tissues too, and made the massage just the right intensity for a little guy. My foot massage was really strong and I could feel all of those tiny neglected muscles relax. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the massage areas are only separated by screens. So, I’d only bring a kid if they could truly be silent for the entire period. Otherwise, you definitely would be disturbing others! It was a great experience and we will definitely come back.

Decided to try this place out and get a couples massage with my husband. This was my 3rd massage, my husbands 1st. My first issue was we weren’t even in the same room. Just beside each other which kind of defeats the purpose of a «couples massage». The second issue was the noise. When I get a massage, I want silence. Background music is fine! But when I can hear the other employees talking and watching tv, I have an issue. Also, both my masseuse and my husbands were yelling to other employees during our massage! About halfway through another customer came in for a massage and was extremely loud and obnoxious. It was incredibly distracting. Not to mention, I could hear him breathing throughout his whole massage. Lastly, the caliber of massage was very mediocre. We were covered in bath towels rather then warm blankets. It was a very amatuer massage. I felt very disappointed. After paying I was asked by my masseuse where her tip was! That makes me cringe! I feel like it’s incredibly rude to ask for a tip. Overall a very disappointing experience. More disappointed for my husband as it was his first massage. Will need to find somewhere better to give him a real massage experience!

I’ve passed Taiji a few times on my way to Martindale’s, and finally decided to give them a try. Since I’d never had foot reflexology, I settled on that as my evening treat for a long day of hiking. It was absolutely amazing! They first give you a foot soak, then a scrub, and then the massage. I liked that they used unscented oil and that they take special care not to get it on your clothing. As the last reviewer mentioned, this is not a deluxe spa, but rather a place where actual therapy and healing takes place. It is sparse, but in an authentic, natural way. Their prices are very reasonable, which allows you to leave a nice tip at the end.

My husband and I were in Springfield and found this spa on Unilocal. We had deep tissue massages and really enjoyed them. They used hot stones, as well as traditional massage techniques. The spa itself is very minimalist, just an open area with«cubes» separated by Asian-style wall dividers. It’s very like spas in Asia, run by a group of Chinese massage therapists — we lived in Asia for nine years, so it felt quite normal and comfortable to us, but it’s not a fancy day spa. My only complaints were(1) they use timers that make a really loud beeping sound when your massage is finished, and(2) strangely, they only massaged our backs(never turned us over for a massage on the front side of our bodies). Other than those, I’d definitely recommend it. They take walk-ins, are reasonably priced, and the massages themselves were really quite good.
