This was a total accidental discovery, but I am so glad that I came across it before leaving Springfield. Once I entered I was greeted by a very friendly employee who gave a quick run-down of the store and the selection. In addition to jerky you can find smoked sausages, cheeses, salmon, candy and even hot sauces. The hot sauce selection is probably some of the craziest I have ever seen, with some costing upwards of $ 700 for a bottle. While browsing the friendly employee politely asked if I wanted to try anything to just let her know, well I ended up trying several but ended up selecting two as my favorite, the cherry sausage and the prime rib jerky, both were amazing and delicious and I ended up getting a bag of each to take home. The jerkey here is fresh and taste nothing like the junk you buy at the grocery store, you are getting some quality meat here. Prices were reasonable with a 4oz bag of jerky running $ 9.99. However you can also check the discounted section where you can score upwards of 50% off on products nearing their sell by date. I scored a bag at 50% that was one month away from its sell by date and it was delicious! Overall if you are a fan of jerky or any type of smoked meat this is a must visit location for all your carnivorous cravings.

They had a great selection of regional jerky and a lot of samples to try. Definitely an interesting place to stop by if you’re in the Bass Pro area.

I love jerky so had to try the place. I make my own often. No stranger to the stuff. The employee was polite and helpful. They had a large selection. And a lot with no sodium nitrate. A carcinogen. Which is why when jerky, lunch meats or hotdogs don’t have it they brag about it on the label. The prices were super high. I bought some salty junk. $ 9.99 for 4OZ. olé smokey Tennessee moonshine. Sweet Cherry. «Made with real moonshine». The last ingredient by the way. This stuff has more red 40 and blue 2 than moonshine lol. 1OZ will get you 1350mg of sodium 66% of your daily value. And it tastes like it. Like eating a chewy salt lick. Sad thing is I sampled it before I bought it! Yep. I pretasted this salt and bought it anyway. How? They give you a sample. First she had a piece the size of my thumb. But it must have looked to generous. Then she tore off a piece the size of my thumb nail. At that size it was good. The salt couldn’t overpower you. Lesson learned. The other bag I bought was Biltong. It has 5 ingredients. I was looking forward to it at $ 18.99 for 8OZ. it’s a bag packed full of very small pieces. Ranging from 2“X½″ to dust. It has to be refrigerated after opening. I’m cool with that. I do the same with the stuff I make. It was on a rack with no samples under it. Few ingredients it has to be good! Nope! It smells kinda like dog treats and doesn’t taste very good. I’ll eat it. It’s healthy and actually low in sodium. I’ll eat broccoli too. Not for the taste though. I didn’t check out the sausage. If that’s your thing like another reviewer, it might be your place. They have some good priced bug candy. Like scorpions in suckers. Might make cool gag gifts. My son enjoyed his Jelly Belly jelly bean sucker. At $ 1.29 it was priced ok. I can’t recommend coming here for the over priced jerky. I was hoping I would find my own little heaven but was let down.

Stopped in to pick up some hunter sausage. This will have been my 3rd or 4th visit to the Outlet in the last year or so. They have lots of variety which I like and on average per oz their prices are ok. Really the selection is what brings me back. I have to say seems like each time I’ve been there is someone different running the register. Some are friendly and let you ask them about items and some are pushy trying to get you to try everything. They also carry a variety of hot and bbq sauces so that has always been fun to brows. Plus a mixed back of treats like bug pops and chocolate rocks. All and all something to check out just to see some variety.
