The Regency

I went there for The Roberson Bros. CD release party, who are awesome! But the venue was horrific. We stood in line for 2 hours just to get in! We even purchased tickets in advance thinking we wouldnt have to wait in line that way. Instead of two lines one for pre purchased tickets and one to buy tickets they had everyone in the same line. The door guy instead of being cheerful was a jerk and just shrugged his shoulders and said it will be a while. The sound was horrible. The white stools with no backs were so uncomfortable and the tables were useless. Too wobbly and too low along the couch wall. No one that came for the show were smiling, everyone was just pissed because of the poor management and atmosphere. I will never go back. This bar was awesome in the 80’s why it was revamped I don’t know but huge mistake!

The venue is nice inside and the drinks were good, but for a live music venue the sound is horrible. It wasn’t the band playing or sound guys fault either when I was there. When your equipment looks 25 years old and only one of two main speakers is working it’s time to upgrade guys… If I’m gonna lose my hearing to see a band it better sound good at least.

Bought tix online, waited an hour and a half to get in after the doors opened to see the brothers Robberson. Only one id checker at the door and the same guy put on wristbands. Slowest dumbest excuse for staffing. Will not ever come back.
