The Udder Hut

I stopped by here on a trip through Springfield. Very cute and fun on the inside! I think there were maybe 8 flavors to choose from. (I’m used to Chicago places offering a lot more than that!) I tried just about all of them and they were very tasty! I ended up doing a salted caramel and apple pie swirl (I think those were the two). The taste was great! And the price is comparable to any other frozen yogurt spot. Definitely worth a stop inside!

This self-​serve froyo place just opened on Saturday. We went with four adults and two small children. The staff was helpful (free samples) and so friendly to the little girls. The froyo was great (salted caramel pretzel?! Come on!) and they had lots of good toppings. My only complaint was that there really wasn’t anywhere good to sit with little kids — the tables are all high-​tops and the chairs swiveled. It looked like they had patio chairs and tables for outside, but it was raining when we went. All in all, a great downtown treat.

So this is a nice frozen yogurt place which just opened yesterday. I was driving into work this morning when I was like, «Hey, I haven’t seen that before!» So, I had come back after work and have some sweet frozen yogurt with my buddies.
They have ~4 different machines each with 2 flavors with the mixed flavor between. No California Tart, which I hope they’ll bring in sometime in the future. But their fruity flavors were lovely and sweet. None of their flavors are on the tarty side – they are more smooth and creamy.
The fruit is fresh and yummy. They have my beloved sour worms too and of course the cute little gummy bears.
Nice and clean with plenty of seating. A bit of a retro look.
The name is lovely and aDORable. The logo was apparently made by the owner’s wife. That is some talent there.
The price is about the same as that at Cherry Berry I think.
They close at 9pm which is nice for a date night. ^^ I think this will definitely be a go to place during the summer when you’re just strolling around after dinner and want something lighter than Coldstone.
Now, if they could just deliver to the hospital… that would be perfect. ^-^
