Thurston Urgent Care

Friendly staff, i was in and out in no time. Thank you for finally being a place that cares about the patient!

On six different occasions my husband and I have been patients at the Thurston Urgent Carer. I’m impressed with their staff, the short wait time (depending on when you go) and the convenience. Compared to my Primary Care Physician I would prefer to go to Thurston Urgent Care. I have received excellent medical care; better testing and more concern and care as to why we were visiting Urgent Care. The Physician Assistants there are top notch and I will always prefer dropping in to Thurston Urgent Care instead of making an appointment with my PCP.

Great people very caring doctors and staff. Had the flu one day and 2 days later pneumonia came back 3 times but they never missed a beet. Thank you Thurston Urgent Care (big thanks to Dr. Russ and Dr. Anna) Joel Ulam

I got into a bad mountain biking accident out of McKenzie Bridge and slashed my leg. It was pretty ugly and this was the nearest urgent care/​ER. Great place though. Had to wait a little while (maybe 35 mins) but nothing unreasonable. The MA who took me back was really nice and was very thorough in cleaning my gash (which was large and at that point had been kept from bleeding for two hours by an old t-​shirt, bicycle tube, and gorilla tape). The PA was also very nice and we had a great conversation as she stitched up my leg. I was really nervous but they put me at ease and my leg healed well with no infection. So thankful!

The wait is much too long. About an hour or so. The receptionist was rude, and I did not get the care that I had requested.

THE WORST MEDICAL EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. The provider was uncaring, hasty, and didn’t listen to a word I said. When I’m feeling the worst I’ve felt in a decade, I expect a medical provider to actually give a fuck. I walked out of the place crying, and wondering what the hell just happened. I’m writing this review because being sick sucks, the last thing you want is an experience like that. Save your self some time and money and negative emotions, and go elsewhere.

I LOVE this urgent care. I hate going to the doctor, hate being sick, hate going to the hospital, and I have had periods without healthcare — so going to the urgent care is pretty much awful.
But this urgent care. Love. They are so conscious about price if you don’t have insurance, it is amazing. I came in for the stomach flu a while ago and they asked me if I wanted IV fluids before they gave them to me because it would have been much more expensive.
I was very very sick for a few weeks recently and ended up in this urgent care three times in about a month and a half. The first was for a sinus infection. My doctor was awesome, the nurse made jokes (to help calm me down, because I am such a basket case at the doctor!), and I was in and out in about 30 minutes.
The second visit was for a staph infection. I was in pain. Pain, pain. Like, they couldn’t continue a procedure due to pain. The doctor was so amazing. She told me everything before she did it and she didn’t make me feel bad about being in such discomfort. She was so compassionate and she gave me excellent care instructions, including letting me know that the next step might be an ER visit and how to avoid it, if possible.
Finally, I was allergic to my antibiotics from the staph infection and had to come back — covered in hives. This was no fault of the urgent care. I had no idea that I had an allergy and I didn’t know what it was until I was really sick. The nurses actually came out to make sure the reaction wasn’t bad enough to warrant an ambulance. They were, again, so compassionate. I was back to feeling great about a day later due to their quick response.
Hands down, this is where I go when I’m sick and need immediate care. Now let’s hope I don’t have to go back anytime soon!
