TITLE Boxing Club

I am so glad to have joined this gym. I have been a member for six months now, and this place definitely gets my heart pumping and wears me out! The trainers get me to do things that I would NEVER do on my own at the gym (Burpees, Lunges, etc.), so I appreciate the effort they put in to the workouts.
I joined Title 6 months after having my first child. I knew that if I paid for the membership, that I would get myself there on a regular basis for class. The Gold’s Gym membership just wasn’t cutting it. A year after having my child, I can say that I have my pre-​baby body back and all my clothes fit again (thank you Title, for saving my wardrobe!).
My favorite part about coming here? They know your name when you walk in the door. And call you out during class when you slack off. It feels more like a friendship than a gym membership and that gets me working harder. It’s the accountability aspect. And I can’t see myself ending my membership here.

Although the Title Boxing Club in Fairfax City is closer to me, I go to Springfield for the following reasons:
1. Friendly staff — Even before I was a member I came a few times to try out the classes with friends and the staff always greets you, is happy to wrap your hands for you, and chats you up on the regular. Truly makes you feel like you are welcome.
^ To this point: first timers, do not fear or feel intimidated at all! If it’s your first class you can try it out for free. Wraps are $ 10 and you can rent gloves for the class.
2. Flexibility in being able to go between the Springfield and Falls Church locations — This option is not available in the Fairfax location. My friend signed up there and she isn’t able to come to classes with the rest of us when we go at Springfield because of this reason. On the other hand, my other workout buddy goes between Falls Church and Springfield every week.
3. Better quality workout in the 60 min boxing class — I’m sure all the other trainers are excellent and run great classes, but I am always sweating buckets when I go to Julian’s Boxing Power Hour class. I don’t know how he doesn’t lose his voice as he talks through the entire class but he does an amazing job with the energy level at 100 every single time. To say I am impressed is an understatement. Take his class and you’ll know what I mean. I do have a suggestion for management though: allow coaches to pick their own music. They do this at Orange Theory and SoulCycle and it’s amazing and the playlist makes a huge difference in your workout (at least it does for me).
The location could not be easier. It is right off of Rolling Road near West Springfield High School in the shopping center by Whole Foods and Panera. Can’t miss it.
The gym itself has pretty much everything you need. Plenty of space and a ring for personal training.

To say I love this place is an understatement! The trainers and staff here are the best! If you want results, come here. If you want some stress relief, come here. I promise it will change your life. I actually wake up in the morning excited about working out (even if it’s not for another 12 hours. Lol). I’m in grad school and this place is the perfect outlet. No one ever thought I would try boxing. Now I don’t know what I would be doing without Title. You will never feel out of place because everyone here is so encouraging and friendly. But let me warn you, you will work hard! I can’t pick a favorite trainer/​class because they are all amazing. The first class is free so give it a shot! You won’t regret it.

Best workout EVER. For nearly two years (before relocating), I was a member at Title Boxing Springfield. I would literally go to relieve stress from nursing school and boy did it help! The entire staff was so professional. During my time with Title, I visited various Title locations throughout the country and NONE compared. I was in the best shape of my life (when attended classes consistently lol). I would HIGHLY recommend this gym to anyone, especially those of us who bore easily with workout regimens. Also, the environment facilitated a great focused workout (no creeps). Keep up the GREAT work you guys.:)

I tried the free class, I was literally terrified when I walked in ! The instructor was awesome and actively helped me find modification for my bad wrists. The hour flew by & it was fun. So much more engaging than a treadmill!

Title Boxing was skeptical to me at first, as I usually would just go to Gold’s in the mornings and late afternoons to get my workout in. I grew bored of the regular routine and was losing the motivation to find my way into the gym. I soon realized it was time for a change! I decided a few months ago to take the free class they offered and have been hooked ever since. The amount of calories you can burn in their classes is amazing (depending on how hard you work, of course). This is by far the easiest way I have been losing weight. They also have free weights if you want to lift and offer personal training if you want more knowledge of boxing or kickboxing (haven’t tried yet, but maybe eventually). I like walking into a gym where the people, staff, and trainers are all surprisingly friendly and my motivation to hit the gym is stronger than ever. I hope this review gives you a better opinion than whoever Kelly is, because she is trippin.

Went to a few classes which were great. The trainers were friendly & knew how to encourage the members. Having a busy schedule, I decided to cancel the membership. When I went in they said they had to send an email to the general manager who would send me an email discussing other plans or if I wanted to cancel. I never received that email which they said could take up to two weeks. So I’ve been paying to not go to the gym and not be able to cancel my plan. I went in a second time to cancel and they said the same thing. I understand it’s the workers jobs to try and keep the members from leaving but I’m flushing money down the toilet and extremely frustrating that it takes over 5 months to try and cancel a plan.

I’ve been nothing but satisfied with title boxing club and their staff.
I’ve tried a lot of different workouts and gyms only to have them become too easy or simply boring, but title has kept it interesting and challenging.
Previous to TITLE I had done other cardio «kickboxing» classes– often times these were choreographed and «poppy», and humorously unrealistic to previous martial arts training I had.
At some other places that had a heavy emphasis on MMA, I was often times the only female which was just downright uncomfortable and sausage festy, however not at TITLE, as a chic I enjoy the balanced classes of men and women ratio, and how super friendly other fellow-​goers are.
Bonus: friends and family have already noticed me looking more «badass» only after 3 – 4 classes. Definitely worth checking it out. I look forward to rocking my swimsuit this summer with the 10 – 15 minute ab workout at the end of every class.
(Also, Don’t eat beforehand. eat at least three hours before class!)

I love this place. The staff is super friendly, the facility is nice, and the classes are AMAZING! You will not regret joining here and if you do the free «first punch» you WILL want to join. The warm ups are pretty difficult (and me being out of shape can’t always keep up) but you go at your own pace and you’re fine. The 8 rounds of boxing/​kickboxing is SO much fun and you will definitely feel it all over, and the cool down/​abs is a great workout but allows you to get your heart rate at a good level to end your workout.
I personally like the kickboxing the best because it gets my whole body completely involved, but I’ve done the boxing a lot too and like that as well.
You can even bring your kids (if they’re not toddler age) and they can enjoy the class too!

I just started yesterday, and I can’t wait to continue. The instructor was nice, always checking to find out if you were okay.
So far LOVE IT!

AMAZING workout! Love the high-​energy music, paired with fun high-​energy instructors! Its awesome that everyone’s sweating their brains out AND loving every minute of it! The best part is that all the employees there are soo nice & friendly & helpful — I was fearful of it being an intimidating environment at first, but its anything but — thank you!!!

I’ve loved TITLE since my very first class. From the owners, Sam & Kate, to the trainers to my fellow members, everyone makes this place special. For pretty much everyone to know your name is unique from other gyms, where you’re pretty much a bar code or member number. Nothing pushy about this place at all. Take it all at your own pace, no one makes you feel inadequate or uneasy. For all skill levels and fitness levels. I’ve been coming here multiple times per week since April 2013. I can actually feel, and almost see, ab muscles! Body fat down to a reasonable number. My endurance is much greater. I am wearing a waste size I last wore in middle school. I actually wore out a pair of sneakers and almost a pair of gloves. Great for stress relief on a bad day, too. A different experience every time and never boring. Come on in!!!

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I came a little late for the boxing class, but had no problem jumping right in.
Format of the class:
First 15 minutes — Warm up with sprints and other various exercises to get your heart rate up. Next 30 minutes — You get right into boxing exercises in timed intervals (usually 3 minutes per interval) followed by some exercises and a short rest in between each set.
Last 15 minutes — Core work and stretching.
My instructor was very motivating and helpful. Not sure if I’d be a regular with boxing, but I definitely enjoyed changing up my fitness routine.
Tip: They offer a free class for first timers with a free boxing gloves rental. Give it a shot!

Loved the workout here. They really push you so come prepared to work hard. The employees are all really nice and courteous. Will be back!

Great gym! Fantastic trainers, and classes are challenging. Anybody who is looking for a gym that is motivating, professional, and the staff remember your name, then this is the place! Classes aren’t packed yet in the mid day, but they have plenty of room! I wanted to keep this amazing find to myself, but they deserve the review!

Only a month in and I feel I need to write an update. SO I’ve taken classes with all the instructors now. My friends and I all have our favorites. Some love Stacy, Some love Kevin, some love Sam, etc. There is a certain instructor who I have a love/​hate relationship with. I won’t mention his name, but his name rhymes with Schmulian. =)
Only a month in and 13 pounds down. Ok, so it’s probably mostly water weight. But whatever. I’ll take it. I’m a chick. We like it when the scale goes DOWN in number. You literally lose 3 – 5 pounds in one class… again probably mostly water weight… but yay for the number going DOWN. If you are a competitive lifter like I used to be or need to make weight for competition and are a few pounds off, just take one of Julian’s (aka the spawn of Satan) classes and you’ll make weight.
Heart rate monitor worn in one of his classes and close to 1100 calories burned. Dude, does this mean I can go have some sweet frog? =)
I have a one year commitment. Goal is to look and feel smoken hawt.
You read about the «too much cardio is bad for you» stuff on the internet by these fitness «guru’s» all the time. I used to be one of those who preached it. Don’t get me wrong, I will choose lifting heavy shit over cardio any day. I see the power hour’s here more as conditioning. The best part? You feel awesome and like a badass afterwards.

The Title Boxing Club in Springfield is absolutely unrivaled in terms of how the staff and ownership treats their members, the selection of classes that they offer, and the enthusiasm with which they approach helping you to achieve your goals. I personally took a class with Stacy a couple of months back, and let me tell you… she kicked my @$$! Come stop by for a free class — I guarantee that it will be one of the most fun, challenging workouts you’ve ever had. You won’t be disappointed!
