This place has been closed since 2006. I went there when it was open and it was very fun. However, the constant construction an update to the store that it is attached to the museum itself have kept it closed for such a long time that no one even remembers what this place is like.

Kids loved it. Fun and educational. Easy to get into and easy to walk through. Pretty impressed with the diversity of animals they had to exhibit. It was very busy but it was a Saturday.

A nice wildlife museum. I stopped to check it out while passing through the city. It seems like a good place to take children so they can appreciate nature while in a city setting. Having some live animals was a plus(they tend to be more interesting than stuffed mounts).

Other than the fact that this place is closed right now for expansion… I give it a thumbs up!
Ok, so I’m Auntie Susan, and when I have to take the rugrats out, I’m always looking for a good place to go. Wonders of Wildlife is almost always a kid pleaser AND, it’s educational. Apparently, it has more than 225 species of animals in their natural habitats for the kiddies(and adults) to view. That includes beavers, sharks, eagles, fish, deer, bobcats, etc They have recreated little rivers, caves and forests… pretty cool. They have diver shows so kids can watch feedings. Also, I think it’s pretty cool that they offer a WOW school of conservation and outdoor recreation. I think for Springfield it’s in April of 2008. The only problem is that it’s a lil pricey for going too often… 10.95 for adult and 6.95 for each kid. They do offer a family pass for 32.95… I just have never been able to use it. It is located right next to the Bass Pro Shop on W.Sunshine.

This is a newer addition to the Springfield/Branson area. It is directly across from Bass Pro Shops. Many hands on exhibits and very informative displays that help bring awareness to the need for conservation and preservation of our natural resources. Some live animals as well. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff who really enjoy what they are doing. The layout was a bit confusing at some points, but overall, a nice place to spend a few hours.
