Great, friendly service. Very nice atmosphere and always clean. Ice cream selection is great and very reasonably priced. We have gone there many times. Love KC’s!

Located across the street from Famous Pizza in Springvale.
Attached to a big house, this sandwich and ice cream stand (with outside takeout windows on a covered wooden porch) serves up subs, wraps, steamed hot dogs, salads, chili, nachos, bottled cold drinks, and offers a good variety of hard ice cream flavors from Shaker Pond Ice Cream. For ice cream treats, they offer dishes, cones (reg or sugar cone –no extra charge), waffle cones (plain or dipped), cups, sundaes, specialty sundaes, novelties, chillers, and frappes. For the pooch, they offer Chilly Paws made with peanut butter, apples, bananas, honey, and yogurt — Good boy! Woof!
The prices (2012) seem fair and daily specials are offered. Sandwiches/​wraps $ 4.95-$ 6.95 and hot dogs $ 1.79-$ 2.99. Cones are priced $ 1.79 (Kids-​1 scoop), $ 2.49 (Small-​2), $ 3.49 (Medium-​3), and $ 4.49 (Large-​4), frosty drinks $ 2.99-$ 4.49, sundaes $ 3.99-$ 4.99, and banana splits $ 5.99.
There’s umbrella covered picnic table seating nearby to enjoy your food and ice cream.
I stopped here very recently to cool off and to order a refreshing sweet treat. I was in the mood for a specialty sundae and was leaning towards ordering the Whoopie Pie Madness, However, I ordered one their newest specialty sundaes, the Strawberry Rhubarb Delight ($ 4.29 plus tax), which sounded pretty good. The Strawberry Rhubarb Delight was just what I needed, which had slices of moist yellow pound cake, choice of any ice cream flavor (I chose mocha chip), and topped with homemade strawberry rhubarb and whipped cream. This treat was cool and very refreshing and using Shaker Pond Ice Cream is a definite plus!
Next time I’m here, I’ll have to try their other new specialty sundae, which is the Campfire Craze — warm smores topped with ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, and graham cracker crumbs. I will try to make it out here on a Sunday when specialty sundaes are discounted to $ 3.85 plus tax.
