Papa Jakes Saloon

Papa Jake’s catered a special event for our family, 100+ guests! Beef on weck, baked pasta, tossed salad, baked chicken… all wonderfully prepared! The guests gave high marks and inquired about the chef and restaurant! Thank you for helping to make the event memorable!

Oh my God, this place is fantastic! One of our favorite places to go in Western NY. The food is always great, I mean always great! The bar is large and well arranged, the dining area is on the other side of the building from the bar so the noise level is perfect for dining. The owner, Chris, comes out and speaks with diners on a regular basis asking how their meal was, looking for genuine feedback on how to improve the products he is serving. The waiting staff is always courteous and attentive. If this restaurant were located in Williamsville, Amherst, Orchard Park or Hamburg, it would be impossible to get in, that’s how good it is. Really…

I will never go back to this restaurant. Everything that was fried was so overdone that it was inedible. Even though we only took a bite of the fingers and fries, they never offered to take them off the bill. I had the meatball sandwich, which was good, but my dessert that followed it actually had mold on it! The waitress of course took it back and offered me a new one to take home. I was reluctant, but she said that it was from an entirely different pie so I took it home. Halfway through I found a hair.
I worked in the restaurant business for 14 years, and can’t believe that all of this happened at the same table!

This is the best place to go in Springville if you want a nice dinner or want to grab a few good drinks and watch any game. Their lunch and dinner specials are not only delicious but a great deal for the money as well! Pam, Amanda, Alyssa, at the bar are super nice and can mix you an incredible drink or recommend a great beer.

We planned a dinner here for about 50 people, it was great. The food was well presented, the service was excellent. The private room was large and well laid out. The staff even provided to-​go containers for us to take food home. Thanks Chris, very well done.

Great beef on weck, banana peppers were awesome… house made chorizo in those! If I didn’t live in California I would make this place a regular stop.

First off, the only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is because it is a sports bar and nothing amazingly special grabs my attention at sports bars. OK, that out of the way, I found Papa Jake’s to be a nice place to go. The food was good and hot, the barkeep was attentive and downright friendly and the company around the bar was fairly lively (including the one regular — or so it seems — that was playing the claw machine and getting ultra-​excited every time he won. I thought it was so entertaining, I gave him $ 2 to play!). I had the beef on a weck and, although I was not really sure what I was going to get, I think that the weck is delightful with the salt and caraway seeds on top.
All in all, I’m going to be back for business and I’ll be coming back to Papa jake’s!

Great brick setting for a restaurant. The waitresses were a bit stoic but likable and efficient just the same.
The beef on weck was amazing. The burger was cooked just right, loosely packed and flavorful.
Definitely worth another visit when in the area.

Great food! Great drinks and fun bartenders!

I came here in September as part of a large group of 20+ people. I was very surprised when walking in the quality of the building — lots of brick, open, airy, lots of comfortable tables and seats.
Food was incredible. For the price, I expected a touch of calamari on my cesar salad. They gave me the whole damn squid. And it was awesome — not tough or chewy, flavorful, and the breading was great. This is Western NY, right? The quality would have been appropriate for a seaside city.
The beef on wick sandwich was outstanding as well.
Draft list was commendable, a surprising number of «micro”-brews on tap along with your domestic slosh. Since I was on my motorcycle, I drank water — and even their tap water tasted great!
This will definitely a stop when I’m back in the area. If I have a repeated experience, I wil absolutely bump my review to five stars.

Great food awesome service! Prime rib sandwich was delicious. Menu is pretty good and Sam Adams on tap always a plus. Will be back again
Only thing that kept it from 5 stars were the couple of flys that seemed to be around constantly.
