I used to come to this establishment often but after tonight I will never be coming back here again. My food literally smelled like urine. Im not entirely sure whether or not it is a cultural thing for Chinese cuisine to smell like urine. After doing some research on Google many people said its a normal fermentation of the startch in lo mein noodles, which is what I ordered. I have had lo mein before but I have never had lo mein that smelled so bad I could smell it before I even opened the box. I took a few bites but the smell was so bad it took away from what should have been a pleasurable dining experience. It was so bad my girlfeiend had to move away from me at the table and when I askedher what was wrong she said, «Your food smells like sh**…» you get the idea. I promptly threw it outside. I bet the raccoons in my backyard wouldnt even touch that urine smelling gooey slop. I am never coming here again. I could have pissed on $ 8.50 and it would have been more worth the money than receiving food that smelled like it had been pissed on.

Love this place! They have a buffet constantly going on and we can see people enjoy it. We are vegan so we have been ordering from the menu, I have been ordering the exact same thing since day one — fry broccoli with white sauce! I grown up in China and they do taste homey! And great portion too, we have left over every time to take home. My husband loves his vegan MuShu and mix veggie with tofu. These were our Must every time and we went there often. The staffs have been very friendly and helpful, they remember us from the first time. Will sure visit them again if we will return to Spruce Pine.

Mr. and Mrs. Yang PLEASE come back! It’s devastating to see what you guys have worked so hard for, be ruined by lazy morons! This is the best Chinese food in the world when the owners are there, running the restaurant. HOWEVER, there is a rude girl and her boyfriend running it for the most part now, and the quality has gone downhill. A couple weeks ago, we went to eat there at around 8 pm. and ordered the buffet. The girl that’s running the place starts taking up the food to the point that there was virtually nothing left that we would eat. What little food we actually ate had obviously been sitting there all day. We disgustedly paid and they closed the doors as we left. Grudgingly, we stopped to eat again last night. The same rude girl was running the show. Only now it seems she has brought in some staff who are as underwhelming and lazy as she is. The first thing we noticed was the SMELL. It stunk of unwashed soured bodies. I lost my appetite when I saw where it was coming from. A bucket of gray, filthy water, complete with floating particles of food right behind our table that the waitresses were using to wipe down the tables! The proverbial icing on the cake was the waitress, who, I presume, was asking if I was done with a plate. All I heard was gibberish. When I said, «Huh?», she started getting louder, as if I’m supposed to understand what she’s squawking. So, we’re done with China Wok until something changes. We have been loyal customers since the 90’s and have witnessed the Yangs hard work, dedication and enjoyed their superb food. Sadly, now it is just subpar.
