Solid Wal-Mart experience. Nothing special, but if you are staying in the mountains, pretty much everything you need is here. The fresh fruit looked a bit questionable but the snack selection was good. The pharmacy was quite slow… took nearly 40 minutes to get a prescription that was called in from out of state. Out-of-towners needing to pick up meds seemed to baffle the tech for some reason. The wine selection was great. Rex-Goliath bottles for $ 5? Yes, please.(These are normally at least twice as much in PA.)

It’s your basic Walmat located in Spruce Pine. For a weird life experience, go here at 9 am on sunday morning, few people are there and the staff seem to be in somekind of retail fugue state, all of it very disquieting. Anyway, it’s a pretty new store, they sell booze and the food section looks typical Super Center stuff. In Spruce Pine, N.C. this is pretty much it on sunday morning. Located up the hill off the highway, Halltown road is like this little offshoot that confuses the GPS.
