We were visiting the area from LA and needed a place to crash and watch the Super Bowl. From the time we entered we knew we’d found a local gem. EVERY person on the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Our pizza was fantastic and the wings were spicy with just the right amount of crunch. Whenever we return we will add this to our list of must visits!

We always order the polar bear pizza, always exceptional. Friendly staff. Newly renovated, very comfortable. Has outside dining area, great when weather permits

I enjoyed the pizza. It had a good crust and the sauce had some flavor. If your travelling between Kings Canyon NP and the Fresno area this place is worth the stop.

Our friends take an annual trip up to Hume Lake every year and we make a point to stop by Bear Mountain every time. In fact, after 8 years, we all joke that we only take our trip just so we can eat pizza after:) Great pizza and great service! Bear Mountain will always have our business!

Pizza was excellent! Our 17 year old nephew said it was Awesome! We stopped by on the way back from King’s Canyon, and we were very pleased. The staff was also very friendly.

Great pizza for being a bit out there. Beer on draft & ice cream too. Classic order-at-the-counter with a total unpretentious local feel. Worth the stop driving down from sequoia/kings canyon if you’re craving pizza!

Horrible service the waiters are rude. The blonde lady in the front has attitude. The pizza is all bread. The hot wings were disgusting they didn’t have wing sauce on them .We just happened to stop by on the way down because the kids got hungry and we have a long drive to Yosemite. Never again.

The waitresses are SUPER rude and clearly not on top of it. I got snapped at three different times: first for ordering an item name instead of its number, second for not having my table number after one of the girls *who worked there* took it away, and third for asking if they had forgotten my salad after about half an hour. By the time everyone else was done eating I STILL hadn’t gotten the stupid salad, so I asked for a refund. The counter girl didn’t even apologize, just refused to give me a refund and instead threw a terrible little pile of iceberg lettuce into a bag and gave me a smug look. I was friendly and non-confrontational the entire time, so I don’t understand why these trashy hillbillies had such an attitude problem. Go here if you need pizza on the way up the mountain, but don’t expect much.

The pizza is ok, especially since it’s the only place around. Maybe all the good reviews are from people who live in squaw. The service was friendly, but horrible. Be prepared to wait even if they aren’t very busy. They had plenty of staff but they were all running around like crazy and not really getting stuff done. We waited for 20 minutes for milkshakes that never came and ended up asking for a refund… they never made em. Eat before you leave, pack a lunch, save your money and skip this place.

We ordered a 16″ veggy pizza, and Loved every last bit of it. The service is great — very friendly and attentive. I would love to come back here:

Well the pizza better be good because this is the slowest service I’ve had in a very long time. After a 55 min wait for our pizza, I would say it’s def. not the«best in the Central Valley» as others have stated & not worth waiting 55 mins for as it arrived somewhat hot. It was just ok. Me & Eds is better but it’s fine for what you can find in the area. Be prepared to wait.

One of the first places you hit coming out of Kings Canyon National Park, but the food is actually really good.

Pizza is always hot and great! If you order ahead they have a pickup drive thru window! Which is great when you have small kids that you don’t want them tempted by all the ice cream available when you walk in!

Pretty decent pizza considering it’s right off of the freeway. Bathrooms were clean and staff was friendly. Pizza was a good price. Little game area helps keep kids not focused on how long it takes to get the food

Stopped with the family on the way thru town. Very friendly service. The pizza was good with a nice crust. The dining area was very clean as well as the bathrooms. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The dining area was open as most pizza places are but it was a friendly vibe and ok with small kids. They had a good selection of beer as well. Definitely worth checking out if your in the area.

The pizza at this place is really good! I really enjoyed eating here when a friend and I stopped in for dinner. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is for the fact that they really need to expand the dining area. When my friend and I were there(it was a Friday night), so many patrons came in to have pizza that it became overly crowded with not enough tables and chairs for everyone. Beyond that, the atmosphere is comfortable and friendly and very ‘down home’.

This adorable little place is one of the last stops for food on the way to King’s Canyon and Sequoia National Park. The staff is super friendly, the food comes out quickly, and the smallest pizza is definitely enough to fill you up. There are some pretty great lunch deals that come with a salad and soda. You get to pick two toppings as part of the meal deal, so I picked onions and linguisa, which I was pleasantly pleased to see on the menu, because it’s one of my favorites, and it’s rarely on menus. The crust was pretty good, the cheese plentiful, and the toppings were delicious. My friend and I left very full and very happy about our meal!

How can I describe Bear Mountain Pizza? Imagine if your car broke down in the desert and you started walking, you lose your way and there is nothing anywhere in sight. The sun is getting to you and all of a sudden you come accross a beer keg, nice and cold with freezer of frosted mugs. That is Bear Mountain Pizza. I can only imagine how many times it has saved a hungry traveler who has spent a little bit too much time hiking in the Sequoias and is on their way back down the mountain. We were visiting our son who works at one of the camps up the mountain. He wanted to show us this place. It is where he goes when he wants to get away from camp food, when he wants to get reception on his AT&T phone. We had lunch, a salad and a pizza as well as a cold beer and some soft drinks. The place was busy for 2pm, full of travelers as well as locals. There were nine firemen so you know it has to be good! Honestly the salad was OK, fresh and crisp but nothing too special. The Pizza was better. It was big and filled us up. Being that we were camping that night and didn’t have much in the way of food with us it kind of saved our bacon too. Gave us some wonderful leftovers that sure hit the spot! I would note that the girl who took our order was over the top helpful and enthusiastic! She checked in on us several times to make sure that everything was to out liking!
