A-Ok little gas station a few miles outside of Kings Canyon National Park. Gas is still way cheaper than pretty much everywhere else in CA and there’s a good chance you’ll get to see a family of 20 pull their multiple vans into every pump station, not get any gas and instead open up their trunk and start ladling mounds of ceviche from a plastic bucket into tiny wax paper bowls on a 110+ degree day while you sit and watch and wish that you weren’t too old to be adopted so you could get in on what actually looked like some rather delicious trunk bucket ceviche. So, coming here is basically an opportunity to make friends and eat homestyle gourmet food with the option to also gas up your ride with, all things considered, nominally priced gas. win/win/win situation.
