This review warrants a 5 star rating based on the chocolate chip cookies alone! Wildflour Baking is a hidden treasure in the Squaw Valley Village. It is the best spot to warm up and have a quick lunch midway through your day of skiing. There is plenty of comfortable seating and fireplaces to enjoy your break. Even a small arcade area for the kids. I really wanted to write this review to share the wonder that is their chocolate chip cookies. They are the real MVP of Wildflour. Perfectly baked to leave your mouth watering for more. The cookies have found the sweet balance of crispy, warm, gooey, and soft. I bet you are wondering how a cookie could be both crispy and soft, well let me tell you. They are crispy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside, and all around magical. The cookies are $ 2 each or you can get a bakers dozen for $ 25. In my opinion its money well spent. If these cookies seem a little too expensive for you, fear not, there is another way to get them for free!!! All you have to do is win an Olympic gold medal in one of the winter events and you will be gifted cookies for life, easy enough right?

Unilocaled a lunch spot after a long day on the slopes and came across Wildflour Baking Company. We came here to try out their famous pizza bagels only to find out they ran out when we came at 3pm! We were really bummed!!! Instead, we ordered the curry sandwich and chocolate chip cookies. The sandwiches come in ½ and whole order sandwiches, which are great if you aren’t too hungry. Onto the cookies, oh my goodness, they are best chocolate chip cookies! Yes, it’s a bit pricey priced at $ 2.25 each, but well worth it! Wildflour’s chocolate chip cookies are a great way to end your day! Next time, we are going to make sure to come earlier to try out their pizza bagels!

We ate here for breakfast and it was delicious. I had the turkey-egg-cheese bagel w/spinach and tomatoes while my boyfriend had the potato Phat(pretty hot and tasty). I can only assume the phat was delicious as my boyfriend inhaled it in about 30 seconds. My bagel was delicious but messy. Id suggest serving it pre-cut and on a bigger plate. Other than that, it was a satisfying meal and we, ll definitely be back. Hopefully this time for pastries.

Here’s the bottom line PROS * Opens at 7am * Fresh baked bagels * Chocolate chip cookies are good * Peet’s Coffee available here * Great wooden community tables CONS * Staff is friendly, but clueless * Very limited breakfast menu items * Egg & toast breakfast is ridiculously overpriced * Between 7−8am very little baked goods available. * Cleaning crew vacuums between 7−8am (very annoying!)

I have had a cookie pass at wild flour since I was a little kid and still have one today. They have the best cookies and hot chocolate of any place.

The cookies are outstanding and the pizza bagels are probably the best lunch deal on the mountain. I’m not sure how they manage to make the pizza bagels soft as airy clouds, yet filling as… more hearty clouds. Anyway they’re mad good and at ~$ 4, they’re also wicked cheap. I spend a lot of time on the chairlift fantasizing about them. Sandwiches here are good, but not exceptional. They’re «ski-resort» expensive so I don’t get them as often as my beloved pizza bagels. The cookies are awesome(also a little pricey). Don’t over-think this, just get one. Pro tip: the half-baked cookie pass gets you ~20% off here. There’s no additional discount for the fully-baked version.

This has been the best place for breakfast and lunch at Squaw since before Squaw turned fancy. Pizza bagels are as good now as they were in the 1990s. Best chocolate chip cookies in California. Oh, and they have Peet’s Coffee, so you can skip the Starbucks crap

Yummy cookies — especially the toffee nut! Fabulous hot chocolate. Good sandwiches and soup. I love bringing out of town guests here for apres ski cookies — they are always satisfied and impressed. Wildflour is a key component of any Squaw day. Love this place!

I’m a big fan of the Scharffenberger hot chocolate they use it for the mochas too. I absolutely love the expansion in the Olympic House, as well as all the new food. Have you tried the vegan chili? I love meat, but it’s so good full of corn, beans other tasty stuff I didn’t even mind the fact that it was über veggie, break up the Salvadorian tamale into it you have enough energy to experience the mountain in it’s entirety! FYI, those tamales are not what most Cali kids are used to, the filling is mixed into the masa. So I recommend looking at the entire menu trying something you know you’ll love, as well as trying something new… It’s not the old menu that you grew-up with, but it’s way better!

Wildflour is one of the most wonderful attractions at Squaw. A Wildflour cookie pass is a favorite stocking stuffer in our family. Susan(aka Cookie Susan in our house) is simply the best and she bakes yummy cookies. I love the chewy oatmeal cookies. I also love how supportive Susan is of all the Squaw skiers, from little kids in Mighty Mites to legends and Olympians and World Cup stars. Stop by on Valentine’s Day — her contest is hysterical!

Wildflour is the locals’ favorite breakfast and lunch spot at Squaw. The staff is always super friendly and generous, the food is always good, and the service is always fast. The standard local order is a slow drip coffee, a pizza bagel, and a chocolate chip cookie. Some of the new additions I really like are the veggie frittata and the fish tacos. May as well get a cookie pass to save a few bucks, especially if you’re a pass holder!

I have always loved their cookies, sorry to say I don’t feel the same way about their daily specials. Green chili and feta tamales were moist corn bricks with no filling, think I saw 1 chili skin, saw or tasted no feta. Famous or award winning chili(whatever they called it) Mostly corn, couple beans no flavor! I will never have lunch or after ski snack there ever again. cookies or bust I guess.

One of the best reasons to snowboard ever!!! Our lunch break can’t come soon enough for me to gobble up those ooey gooey warm chocolaty goodness that is their chocolate chip cookie. Who am I kidding when I just ask for one? I usually eat at least 2 or 3 or maybe 4! I eat ever so slowly just to savor that yummyness! I love it so much; I try so hard to convince fellow snowboarders to choose this resort above all others just so I can eat these cookies! I wish I had one right now!!!

Wildflower Baking Company remains an oasis of yummy goodness in the ski resort food scene. They bake their cookies on the spot, and, if you can get them fresh out of the oven, they are to die for. They’re still good when cool, though. Everything else is excellent, too. The prices are reasonable, and they have a «cookie card» that you can buy which gives you considerable savings. So, if you are traveling with friends or a bunch of children, you might consider the«cookie card». You can buy other baked goods and sandwiches with it. It is a very good deal. I was here for lunch a couple of times in the dismal winter of 2014, and everything remains up to par. There is a world-class baker somewhere behind the scenes of this operation, and my hat’s off to her or him!

Scharffenberger Hot Chocolate and chewy chocolate chip cookies. What more do you need? They’ll warm it up for you too if you ask so the inside is extra gooey and the edges still crusty. If I could afford ski resort prices I probably would’ve eaten(at least) one of each item. Plus, you won’t wanna miss out on the hot European girls waiting to take your order. Is it bad that I want to go back to Squaw for cookies? Make sure you check it out before you head up on the gondola because it’s at the bottom of the mountain!

They have the best chocolate chip cookies ever! It’s all gooey and warm… crispy at the edges and chewy in the middle. They also have a vegan peanut butter choc chip! awesome! mmmmm… =D Get a dozen, save 50 cents a cookie. It’s totally worth it!
