I eat here for breakfast quite often and its always very good. The service is good and the food is always freshly made. The décor is nothing great but its the food that matters. They serve breakfast all day which is nice. I’ve only had the lunch a few times. My daughter always gets the sandwiches and they are freshly made and very large. She always takes some home. The chicken strips she had very nice and crisp. I wish the owners/landlords would fix the huge hole in the driveway! Otherwise, great for breakfast and lunch.

Linda’s is one of those super little not-quite out of the way mom and pop restaurants that has consistently delicious meals all day long. But it’s also got a few surprises in store. It may look like that typical restaurant but they have a fantastic menu of sandwiches you won’t find anywhere else around. I highly recommend them Of course you can also get some fantastic usual diner fare as well. They have a great selection of pies for dessert in the fridge. It is a bit of a cramped space but you’ll find plenty of locals here that seem to know a good thing is going here. The service is good but can be a bit confusing at checkout as it is like a diner where you pay at the counter, not the server. I will for sure be back to Linda’s and may even try the breakfast! They open at 6am!

Prices were reasonable, overall the food good, not excellent, service sub-par. First time visit for a long term St. Albans resident. There have been many misses and one hit at this location in the past so was interested in the newest offering. The décor is basic, lacking direction or more homeyness that you would expect in this type of place. Not sure the reasoning for the few purplish red snowflakes and Christmas balls since this is early November and they looked lost. We visited on Sunday evening, around 5pm with only a few other patrons in the restaurant. Greater promptly the waitress was nice but seemed new and confused about the menu. The menu layout is interesting, looks like it was typed on a 1998 Selectric. Why list the burgers on the back page? Once she took our order she brought our drinks promptly, my beer still in the bottle, no offer of a glass. My wife’s wine was full, had to snicker at the waitress asking«Is it enough? I am not sure.» There was no explanation of any Specials. The food arrived promptly. My Cheesesteak was well cooked, could have used more cheese although at least it was American and not the Cheez Whiz that other places use to kill a sandwich. Suggest offering a choice of cheeses since they are listed for the burgers. The onions and peppers were present and well cooked but could be more abundant. The Fries looked hand cut and were good and hot. My wife’s Fish & Chips was passable with a large and well cooked piece of fish but with a detracting greasy taste. Also came with lots of the Fries, Coleslaw and Tartar Sauce. Another comedic ask by the waitress was whether my wife wanted Fries with her Fish(even though it is listed on the menu). I joked that yes, that’s what makes it ‘and Chips’. The table next to us wanted to order a Turkey Sandwich and was told they were out a turkey. Interesting since many of the items on the menu include turkey. The biggest issue was the service. After the food was delivered by another waiter we never received the water I asked for. No one every checked in on us, asking about meals, offering more drinks or even delivering the check. It was only after I approached the counter and asked for the bill I was told ‘Oh yeah, you’re done? You can just come up to the counter’. Will definitely give it another try but not on a Sunday evening.

If you go to Linda’s and you should, especially for breakfast try their The World’s Greatest Breakfast Sandwich it lives up to it’s name. The service is good and friendly. The place is clean. The food is good, not much more to ask for around these parts!

I’ve been interested in trying this place out for a bit since one of my friends went and really enjoyed her food. Now I think I’ve been to all the breakfast places in St. Albans, this was my last stop! I’d like to first mention because of the negative review under me, you won’t have the bill brought to you like most places — right on the menu it says that you need to go to the counter to pay. Good thing my SO can read(yeah, I didn’t notice either)! I got 2 blueberry pancakes with bacon and real maple syrup. To add blueberries or other mix-ins, real maple or bacon/sausage there are extra charges. I got chocolate milk for a drink. SO got french toast with sausage and a side of home fries. While the food was a bit above average, it was in large portions, fast and very affordable! The waitress was friendly, upbeat and on her game. The place itself is really cute and well put together. Linda’s opens at 6 am so thats pretty nice, they serve the full menu all day too! Lunch at breakfast for us night shifters or breakfast for lunch! They might not have french fries early morning tho because of the process of cooking them. The only negative thing I have to say is booth seats weren’t very comfortable, add a little cushion and some support around the wooden base where the seat ends. little painful on the legs. Great cute place to stop by for a quick meal!

This place is great! The food is delicious, the prices are unbeatable, and there is an amazing family-owned business vibe. Excellent local business owned by super friendly people! Best pancakes I’ve had anywhere.

We eat at Linda’s all the time, and have never been disappointed. They have the best poutine! Their sandwiches and burgers are great also. The portions are generous, the prices are fair and the staff is very friendly. We always bring our out if town guests here, because you can always count on getting a good meal here.

After being in St Albans for 3 years I can safely say this is one of the best restaurants here. Clean, good food, good portions and quality made. I’ve been to Linda’s at least 5 times now and have tried a wide variety of menu items. The service is above par and the place is clean. I like knowing my chef has good personal hygiene and that I don’t have to worry about foreign matter in my food. Their poutine is TOPNOTCH. The fries are perfectly crispy, the gravy is savory and guess what… this place is totally proper and uses CHEESECURDS. Honestly, I’m not sure what all the hate is for. I’ve had their meatloaf, sandwiches, omelets, pancakes, poutine. I’m a fat kid at a carnival, and guess what? Linda’s wins the prize every time. 10⁄02 Just heard that they no longer use cheese curds in the poutine. :( It sucks, they were the closest thing to La Banquise we had around here.

I just had a great lunch at Linda’s! The burger was cooked just right, the roll, although not, tasted home-made, the people are fantastic & the prices are great. They serve breakfast all day, which is a plus for many & the pancakes are really, really good! I would recommend Linda’s for a quick, easy meal.

Got takeout here last night. Corn & jalapeño poppers were spot-on, but meal went downhill from there. Franklin County Burger didn’t have enough savory flavor & it was obviously a processed patty — it read breakfast-y and was pretty confusing. Philly cheesesteak, on the other hand, was super salty but otherwise ok. Fries were eh — tasted stale, but were clearly hand-cut. This place has potential but needs much improvement on the basics — seasoning and making foods fresh to order.

Been there twice. Lunch was terrible. I gave it a second chance, breakfast was ok at best. Won’t be going back there.
