I’d give 0 stars if I could. The food is good no-one can deny that but the service is terrible. There’s always a line and the fat lady always has a frown on her face and drags her feet slower than she has bedroom slippers on. They don’t even ask you what you want when you are next they’ll stare at you. The service is bad even by Jamaican standards. They move slow no matter if there’s 1 person in there or 15 people. The service is also inefficient. They take your order, go in the back, come back with food and take your money, go in the back and come back out with your change. All the while dragging their feet and hate that they have to do it. I couldn’t tell you how many times I wanted their food and said no because of the service. Don’t bother. Stay away.

I’ve tried many Jamaican restaurants since coming to Ny and OGs is by far the best. When I want to have a meal that I know will be good this is where I come. The oxtail is the best but I also enjoy the curry goat! I’m surprised there are not more reviews but it is probably because this is not a place many tourist visit but you will see a lot of Caribbean people in this restaurant which should tell you this is the real deal!

!!!WaRNING!!! do not go to this place Just today about 7.30 pm. I went in there i didn’t fee so good, i wanted some soup. I bought a large red peas soup $ 7.00 When i got home ready to eat my sooup. There were a whole bunch of hard uncooked peas. Oh man i was vex. I went back with the soup, told the lady the pesas in the soup were not cook. She said oh ok i’ll give you the money back. I day yest thank you. She was in the back through the little window, came upfront and handled me the money. Not even an apology. I guessed this is the level of service they are used to giving. She had an Attitude. Do yourself a favor stay away from this place.
