The Fried Fish Sandwich was a nice size piece of white fish on good bread. The fresh cut fries were good, the onion rings not bad(but not as good as the fries). This place doesn’t look like much from the outside(my wife was crinkling her face all the way from the parking lot in the back to the back door), but it’s decent inside. Seafood themed, high ceilings, diner/bar kinda feel inside. Could be considered«divey» I suppose. The food was fresh and hot and fairly quick at lunch. The wife said it was«OK — felt like heat and eat food» which might not be far off since we both had sandwiches. I liked it for lunch, especially when trying to get off the beaten path.

After reading so many positive reviews on multiple sites, I really expected more. We got the jerk shrimp that so many raved about and, though the seasoning was really good, the shrimp were over cooked and tough. I ordered the shrimp scampi and agin the shrimp were tough and the angel hair past was waaaaaaay over cooked. So over cooked I couldn’t even spin it on my fork it was just mush(blech!). I was there with some friends and one ordered the baked spaghetti special — I tasted it and, it wasn’t terrible, but not really good either. Sauce tasted canned not from scratch The food was below par for me but the server was really great, which is why I feel the 2 star rating is warranted. Very friendly place, but don’t expect great food.

It’s more of a pub than a bar. You’ll see families as well as couples and small groups. There’s TV but its not an issue as far as noise. The food is wonderful with different specials throughout the week. It’s not just appetizers either. On Wednesday they serve steak, Saturday is surf-n-turf. The drinks are good, the appetizers are great, the jerk shrimp is unbelievable. The staff is friendly and courteous, the beer is cold, and the service is fast even when they’re crowded. To make it even better, it’s located in a historic building in the St. Albans historic district.

Went in for lunch. The place wasn’t overly busy, and the service was great. I got a grilled chicken salad. The grilled chicken was tasty, the lettuce was shredded, and there were generous amounts of black olives, onions, and banana peppers. The building itself is a bit on the shabby side, but I would recommend the place based on the service and food that I had today.
