This is where the locals hang out when the tourists leave. The sandwiches are wonderful and you’ll often hear good music. The owners are Navy Vets, so it’s a good place to go for military folks, cops and responders. The down side, parking.

When in doubt, go for the Big Boy PB&J! I realize that the sound of peanut butter, red pepper jelly and bacon sounds like a terrible idea, but I swear to you it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. In other news, the nachos are the bomb diggity.

No «Irish,» in this Irish Pub. Although they have Guinness on draft, the food is more Jewish Deli-like, with what looked to be thick sandwiches. I was disappointed, so I didn’t try the food. Also, the only thing on their appetizer menu, oddly, is nachos. My pint of beer, an IPA, was $ 6.00. That’s no bargain for 4 pm on a Sunday but no surprise for this tourist town. Do yourself a favor and walk 2 more blocks to MoJo BBQ and you’ll find culinary splendor.

This place is a Bills Backers bar. Beef on Weck was just like home. Points for having Genny Cream Ale as well. Only knock on this place was the space. Until some space opened up, we awkwardly stood behind the small bar while the staff was trying to get around. Only about 5 tables and a small bar inside, a few tables on the front patio is nice too. The atmosphere was just like home.
