Pretty good bangers and mash. Beer selection was decent or as one would expect for a British pub type place. Prices were about on par with the touristy area. The staff was not familiar with the Unilocal coupon but called the owner and they honored it on the spot. Staff was helpful and friendly. Nice folks.

Cute spot to enjoy some English fare. Fish n chips were plentiful and delicious, but I would not get another burger there-flat and dry. Service was friendly and quick!

Popped in for an early lunch and decided to split the small order of fish and chips. Thank the lord we chose the small order, that piece of fish was huge! Wonderfully crisp batter and very moist fish. Delicious.

Among all of the restaurants in the Historic this quiet Irish pub is by far one of the best places for a bite to eat. The restaurant is based out of a small house and gives off a cozy atmosphere. The fish and chips sandwich I had(The BBC) was amazing! The Cod was beer battered perfectly to still taste the sweetness of the beer, and not over fried to taste like oil. The sandwich was server with chips that were thick and flavorful, deserving the title of chips. The food was authentic, unlike some of the fish and«chips» I had in Orlando. The portions are amazing for the price! The lady who owns and runs the restaurant was great company. She made conversation with us and made sure our glasses were always full.

Amazing hospitality and great food. I arrived here with family on a Monday morning right before they were technically open for business. The staff graciously and warmly invited us inside and set us up with perfectly poured beers at the right temperature before setting us up at a great table outside. We ordered half the menu and everything was great. It reminded me of my days at local pubs when I lived in England. Fish and chips were amazing. Extremely cozy pub that is a good spot for grabbing a pint with a friend or sitting outside with some English cuisine. Don’t like fish and chips?, order the chicken curry or the Guinness pie.

We went to SA and accidently ran into this place as it opened for lunch. The setting is quite beautiful and is located right in the historic district. We had some very tasty genuine tasting British pot pie on the porch and watched the people go by. We returned at night on a ghost tour and the place is said to be haunted though we saw no ghosts. There was a strange empty lot with black cats walking on the fence across the street, but the guide swore it was not haunted, just the restaurant. There was entertainment at night so the place was transformed between day and night.

Service was excellent. Our waitress was very helpful and great with the kids. We shared a chicken curry, bangers and mash, fried cod, and guinness pie. Everything was so delicious that we ate it all up. Thanks for everything. We really did enjoy your restaurant!

Our food came out incorrect, there were only 3 tables(including ours) and we were only a 2 top. The food tasted ok, not terrible or memorable. The price was reasonable. Overall an okay experience, I wouldn’t go back.

The best seat in town! Tucked away a block from the beaten path, this traditional English pub is THE place for a pint of Bass to go with your fish and chips. Hardest working staff in town. You will not be disappointed!

British food. Who can resist the Brits huh?! lol. Unilocal has a deal you can buy that’s essentially a 50% off deal. There is also a coupon in the tourist guide book or what not — can be located at the Visitor Center. And lastly, there is also the check in deal. So take your pick of the optimal deal! :) My choice of the bangers and mash was okay. This meal was essentially two sausage atop mashed potatoes. The side of veggies could have been subbed for something else as they were sort of bland. They were def made from real veggies as they were chunky and sort of mushy. The bf’s pick of the fish and chips was what I org wanted, but we love birds share our food so I opted for my pick above. This choice is the best! The portions were large, and there were lots of crispy fries. I am a picky fry eater. I usually don’t like soft ones that essentially just offer soggy potatoes. These were crispy and yummy in my tummy. lol. The lady that waited on us was super friendly and genuine too so it made the meal great.

Food Bangers and Mash. Two large sausages on top of a plate of mashed potatoes. Corn and mixed vegetables on the side. Nothing really stood out of this hefty meal but the quality of the food was pretty good. The small Fish and Chips were great. There were 3 large portions of fish and plenty of crispy fries. The fish wasn’t beer battered but the flavoring was still good. I was tempted to order the large portion but I’m glad I didn’t. We couldn’t clean our plate despite being hungry. Décor Not sure. I kinda sat on the porch and forgot to go use the restroom or go inside at all. It was a nice day. Service Friendly lady that checked on us often. It wasn’t busy. We bought a Unilocal deal $ 5 for $ 10. Would I come here again? Probably. The Unilocal deal and prices got me here in the first place.

What a super quaint cute little homey joint this is. I love the décor and the food is off the chain. I had the curry chicken w/mashed potatoes and honey had the Guinness stew. Both dishes were super flavorful and very hearty and filling. The staff is friendly kind and efficient. This is a must do in St Augustine. I will surely be back for the fish and chips next time!

I saw a picture of this places food and I said self you have to try them. Well it didn’t take long cause I went to the Prince of Wales the next day for lunch. I had to wait for a few minutes cause they really weren’t ready to cook yet. The lady behind the bar and server mix was very nice and we got to talk about their food. She informed me that their bangers are brought over from England. The fish n chips is real cod fish and served on newspaper. I had to order that with the pronouncement of their fish n chips are the best in town. Now I have heard that before and let’s say it didn’t work out for that establishment. We James the chef guy here sure did it up right with this dish. I wanted to order the fish n chips(small order) and a banger n mash. I was informed that wasn’t a good idea. Now this might have been the first time that I was told not to order this much. She told me that their dishes are large on size and even of me being a large construction worker that might be too much food. When I received my food she was right. The piece of fish was huge probably as big as my hand and part of my arm. It was also cooked perfectly. With soft tender white flaky yumminess coated with a crunchy beer batter. It was just plain goodness. I did order a single banger on the side so I could taste it. Being a huge meat join tube form fan I had to try one. It was tasty and I will eat more of them at a later date. If this os what real bangers taste like I can’t wait to try my hand at some myself. Now the place is decorated with a bunch of English stuff and there are dollar bills all over the walls and ceilings. It is a tiny space but in St. Augustine nothing is big. I will be back soon enough for this might be the best(brick n mortar) restaurant I have been to in St. A.

Stumbled into this rather authentic British pub on a hot day in May. The proprietor sounded Irish, but I opted not to confirm. I got a Boddingtons and ordered the«large» Fish and Chips. I was warned that the large was indeed large and I told them I was prepared. My dining partner ordered the mozzarella sticks and a hard cider. The food was solid. Mozzarella sticks were the best I have had in quite some time. Additionally, there was no additional charge or tension when asking for more marinara. The fish and chips came out as advertised. It was a hefty serving, piping hot and crispy. The place was empty, as I was having a late lunch/early dinner, and I chatted with some of the employees. There is a jukebox with a lot of different options, but I couldn’t figure out how to use it. There was a a tv with soccer on. Next time I head to St Augustine, I will stop by again.

I went to the Prince of Wales in late August, during the labor day weekend. I had attempted to come by on a prior visit to St. Augustine, but they were closed(they close rather early, especially considering weekends and the fact it is, after all, a pub). This time though, being the afternoon, I had no problem getting in. The Prince of Wales is well-situated. It is cute and cozy, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. The TV plays an English station, so you feel as if you’re really in England. I scanned the menu and decided to try the chicken mushroom pie, as I had never had this before. Now granted, I am not an expert on British food, but I expected better. The fries were greasy, which I guess is not a big deal, but the corn and carrots were very watery, indicative of being frozen vegetables, the kind you get in the hospital cafeteria — in other words, bland, and tasteless. I also had imagined something more along the lines of a Shepherd’s Pie, rather than just having what resembled a croissant tossed on top of the stew. The food was ok, but it was not mouth-watering delicious. The staff was friendly, but as I am judging on food, and have had better at King’s Head Pub in Dania Beach, I can only find it suitable to give it a three-star rating.
