Great place to eat. Very quiet. Fast service. Great staff. This is my second time coming and both times. I would recommend this place to anyone and certainly comeback again.

I wish I could give this zero stars! After two hours and $ 50.00 we finally got our food. It was the worst sushi I’ve ever had by far. Sushi was burnt and wasn’t even what we ordered. When we asked what was taking so long the employee that answered asked my wife if she had a car, in a very rude tone. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy!

It’s going on 2 hours and still no food. I placed a delivery order for a reason, so I don’t have to go out but 2 hours is excessive and when I call to check on it, they told me maybe the driver got lost and then she proceeded to ask me YOU don’t have a car? I’m about to lose it. I don’t even want to try this food anymore.

I ordered sushi for carry out and it was gross. I love eating sushi weather it’s at high quality restaurants or the little sushi shop down the street. I really have never had bad sushi, until now. I order the sashimi regular that came with 12 pieces. 2 of which were fake crap stalks. Then there was another fish which I assumed was yellow fish or white tuna. Both are my favorite so I saved them for last. As I took a bite of one I could feel this thick gooey coating all over the fish. Absolutely discusting and I have no idea what type of fish they gave me. But it didn’t even taste like fish. It had to have gone bad or something. I also ordered a piece of salmon roe/ikura. It 90% full of rice with just a few eggs. Pretty disappointing. I don’t know if it’s just because my order was to go and they didn’t really care or what, but I literally spit this food out of my mouth.

I really struggled with the star rating on this one. The sushi is good, however, the service and atmosphere not so great. Walked in, no staff except the sushi chef and perhaps his wife(not really sure, since she did not speak English). No menus, just the small sushi menu. I could have lived with the atmosphere if the sushi was outstanding but unfortunately it was not. I ordered the ½ mexican roll ½ rainbow roll combo. It might as well have been just a rainbow roll. Came out as a california roll with ½ fish and ½ shrimp on top.(this is not what the menu describes). The spicy tuna roll was very good and I really liked the fact that it was a whole piece of tuna with spicy sauce instead of the chopped and mixed tuna. I did also have some eel and it was really good. I would say by the looks of it this place may be struggling to stay in business.

My co-workers and I decided to get sushi and decided to come here around 7pm. Walk in a Wednesday night and there was no one here, we were the only table for the night. server:(seats us) here is the drink menu(points finger at menu with beer) me: where is the rest of the menu? server: oh this is separate check? me: yea server: hands us 2 more paper a la carte menus (co-workers and I get hot tea, which we didn’t know was $ 1.50) me: does the $ 17 unagi come with soup and salad? server: no, but you can get that separately me: Okay, we’re ready to order server: no appetizer? me: no, i’ll have unagi and soup and salad LATER me:(thinking: this unagi is the worst unagi ever, the eel taste like mush, must have been freezer burnt. the radish is not even crunchy, it must have been really old. is this even eel sauce?). server: do any of you guys want dessert(points at menu with dessert) me: no, just the check check unagi: $ 17 soup: $ 1.99 salad: $ 2.99 tea: $ 1.50 My co-workers got sushi rolls and didn’t like their food either, their rice was swollen which meant it was made with old rice. The only reason I’m not giving this place 1 star is because the weather was bad, so maybe the main chef wasn’t there? I used to work as a sushi server and I just feel embarrassed if I recommended this place. TL;DR: $ 25 bill for really bad unagi and decent soup, salad and tea. Really pushy server. I would not recommend this place.

I’m in from Detroit and staying at Ameristar for a few days. I love sushi! I fFound this local sushi place in a strip plaza. Reasonable attempt at sushi. But unfortunately they do not use rice wine vinegar in the rice for the sushi plus the soy sauce tasted spoiled. Limited menu choices.

Has great rolls, just lacking a creative style like most sushi places I’ve been to. It’s also over priced. For how much 1 roll costs I could go to a more upscale sushi bar for the same price.

Extremely overpriced, especially for lunch. My soda was delivered in a can. The rolls were very loose. Poor lighting and please, buy a door. Curtains are overrated. Not going to become a regular here.

I was a bit hesitant to wander into a random sushi joint that’s basically located between a Buffalo Wild Wings and a Bass Pro Shop. Call me a snob, but that just doesn’t trigger my «this place looks promising» radar. However, I’m glad I tried it. For starters, I dug the building. Nice clean layout with slightly dim lighting. At the time, I was the only one in there so the waitress was extremely attentive and nice. The menu seemed limited, but solid. As more people began to pour in, I was never forgotten. The service remained excellent. I was in a rush so I didn’t try a lot, but between the spicy shrimp rolls and asparagus rolls I had one happy stomach. In the future, I will definitely return to try some of their other offerings. Also, I can imagine your bill getting a little pricey if you’re with a friend or two, but if you’re by yourself like I was, then you can get stuffed for under $ 15.

I went to this sushi place based on good Unilocal reviews. I was not impressed. At all. The sushi was not anything special and it was overpriced. I asked for a soda and received a can. I would not return.

I looooove sushi. I grew up in Hawaii and have eaten sushi since I was little. Little Tokyo in St. Charles is the real deal. My wife and I were the only ones in there for lunch. I can understand why, it cost $ 60 for lunch. They do have $ 10 lunch specials…1 roll and 4 pieces of sushi. But throw in an appetizer, miso soup, a couple of drinks, and before you know it… I still would recommend it. Just know that it’s not the cheapest place in town, but the quality is very high.

I was devastated when I stopped for dinner at Little Toyko(on Jungermann) and found them closed. It took me over a year and a half to find them again. I just happened to see their sign on 5th Street in St. Charles. What a great surprise to find that it was the same restaurant and chef/owner who I loved from before. Absolutely the best sushi in the St. Charles County area. I live near Wentzville now, but will make the drive to LIttle Toyko when I want sushi or any of the other wonderful offerings there.(love the tempura veggies and fried soft shell crab, too!) There may be other places better in the area, but I haven’t found them. This is the«go to» place for me and my family!

Excellent! The atmosphere was welcoming and the food was delicious. Couldn’t get enough of the California rolls and the deep fried rolls were so unique and tasty. Sake was plentiful and there were dishes besides Sushi for some adventure. Since I’m a stickler on good quality Customer Service, I have to give this restaurant a professional rating of 4 stars. The staff there was amazing; Easy to feel comfortable. Only one star is missing because of some minor lighting issues and too much empty space. Some areas were just too dark. Maybe some black or warm lights and more decoration. Oh one more thing, don’t go in with less than $ 50 unless you’re dining alone. Be prepared to spend at least $ 100 for your meal; but then again, I was ordering a lot of stuff. It was worth it.

I’m liking Little Tokyo a lot. It’s a no-nonsense place with a limited menu of stuff that they’re obviously good at. I’d liken this place to I Heart Mr. Sushi in Olivette. The rolls are just plain good, both the traditional and the fancier stuff. Even the«fancy» rolls weren’t that fancy but just plain tasty. You really can’t go wrong with that. That last thing you want is some pretty looking piece of roll just falling apart on you. One thing in particular that I wanted to mention is the baked green mussels. This is actually quite a bit different from others in that they chop up the mussel and have a minimum amount of the mayo along with imitation crab meat and other yummy stuff. This is something I’ll definitely stop by and order again for. Every so often I do find myself in this area visiting some friends and this place is now probably the first place that’ll come to mind when thinking of a place to eat at.

I waffled between giving 3 or 4 stars, but went with 4 because of the value. There aren’t many unique or creative rolls on the menu, but it’s a solid menu. Rainbow Rolls are a fave of mine, and theirs is easily a couple bucks less than at other area sushi places, and just as good. I also like that they have something called Choice Roll(their choice, not customer’s) which is a half roll each of a Mexican Roll(spicy shrimp/cucumber, outside is avocado) and a Rainbow Roll. Since I’m single and eat alone at times, this is a good deal and nice for a bit of variety without over-ordering. A while ago, they moved from Jungermann to this location. They’re in the long building set back from(west of) Bass Pro; it backs to Fairgrounds Rd and has several other tenants such as Buffalo Wild Wings, Harley rental, a gym, Side Pocket, Bellacino’s, and maybe something else.
