Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

Great clean place with a clean American atmosphere. This will be my favorite go to bbq food in Saint Cloud. The big pork sandwich plate was tasty lean pork that wasn’t dry but juicy, with great sauces to pick from. I like the jalapeño beans with it and slaw, endless drink, and free self serve ice cream. I never left unhappy.

The food is delicious and I don’t even mind the country music, but the redneck décor screams «whites only.»

Menu is pretty basic and not many offerings if you are looking for something other than a platter or a baked potato. Seemed a little speedy for a rather small brisket sandwich and a side of beans. If you are looking for a rack of ribs, this would be the place. Free ice cream cone was a nice surprise.

Love this place and they all look the same. Atlanta Detroit and now Saint Cloud. All identical. It’s like smokey and the bandit meets cannonball run in here. I feel like I need to grow a Burt Reynolds mustache to fit in here. Closest thing to southern Bbq north of the Mason Dixon line. It’s really hard for me to rate a chain 5 stars but dickies earns it every time.

Service and staff were pleasant. Both my husband and I had the Beef Brisket, spicy cheddar sausage and chicken. The BBQ baked beans were very good and the spicy BBQ sauce very good also. My son really liked the mac n cheese. It was pretty decent and very reasonably priced. I would definitely visit again.

As far as barbecue goes, Dickey’s offers consistent and standard fare. There aren’t many other options in St. Cloud if this is the style of food you’ve got a hankering for — pulled pork, brisket and all the sides, including those delicious fried onion tanglers. I’ve tried all of the various meats and most of the available sides and haven’t been disappointed. I love the smell of hickory when you walk into the restaurant, and the friendly greeting. It’s a good place to go with friends, family, or children though the price adds up quickly.
My children, who aren’t big barbecue fans, like the restaurant — especially the free pickles and ice cream.
What makes Dickey’s tops in my book is the fantastic — and I mean fantastic — customer service. It’s pretty common for the manager to stop by the table to ask how everything is. On a recent trip we had pulled pork that was a bit overdone. I let the company know a few days later. Within 10 minutes, the manager had called, apologized, and did what he could to try to earn back our business. I’ve never received customer service like this. That will keep me going back.

Great BBQ for the price. The menu is easy to choose from with a good choice of sides. I think Dickey’s is hard to beat when it comes to take-​out BBQ.

I have had better BBQ before, but Dickey would dominate not-​so-​famous Dave in a BBQ throw down. There aren’t many places in the area that offer good BBQ at reasonable prices. Not a whole lot of variety or creativity goes into the typical meat and sides options, but who cares… what they do have they do right. Plus the family meal deals and free ice cream make it very hard to beat.

Good BBQ! Lots of meat choices come either as a sandwich or a variety of meat plates. Choose: Texas brisket or sliced brisket, southern pulled pork, marinated chicken, tender turkey breast, Italian sausage, spicy cheddar sausage or pork ribs. Lots of side choices also. BBQ beans, dill potato salad, waffle fries, chips, ceasar salad, cole slaw, fried okra, green beans with bacon, fried onion tanglers, mac & cheese, baked potato casserole & jalepeno beans. They also have baked potatoes and salads. Free ice cream cones are a great way to finish off the meal. Daily specials include kids eat free on Sundays. *with purchase of adult meal. Seriously good food! I will be back again.
