Fantastic Sams

I have been going to this location for over a year and a half. I have had color treatments, perms and cuts. I enjoy the ladies there that have done my hair. I typically look for the older ones and stay away from the young lady that is not so friendly. I have never had a bad cut or color. I firmly believe that you can get a great job here and don’t have to pay high prices for another salon, they ALL have the same Florida license.

I went for a quick and simple men’s haircut. I waited about 20 minutes without an appointment. I went somewhere else first and they had a wait of an hour and a half. The haircut was $ 15 and was what I asked for.

Going to the hairstylist is supposed to be a pleasant experience. Well I walk into hair salon ask for a cut/​wash. I take my hair down from my bun and the stylish goes UGH!!! this is going to be some work. She then proceeds to tell me your hair is too long so this is going to cost you more. I in no moment objected to whatever was costing as I willingly walked in willing to pay whatever it would cost to get a job well done. I said OK. Did she stereotyped me an automatically assume I was a cheap ass or something apparently so. So she proceeds to wash my hair and is huffing and puffing about the length of my hair. We then sit on the chair and I tell her. I will like to preserve my length and I want my hair to have the V shape to the back with an angle framing my face. I went to cosmetology school myself so I know what I was talking about and I know how to do it I just rather someone else cut my hair as is a lot easier than me doing it with a mirror at home. I told her you can take up to 3 inches from the back to trim it. I walked in with waist length hair and walked out with shoulder length. Back to the story. Well she then proceeds to untangle my hair with a barber comb you know the cheap plastic thin ones and says is your hair always this tangle. I responded to her I usually use a wide tooth comb or paddle brush she ignored me. She then says ugh your hair is so matted and kept looking at it with disgusts and then grabs the scissors and proceeds to cut my hair while it was still tangled at that moment I knew my hair was done for. She was done with the haircut I look at myself and it was the complete opposite of what I asked she chopped 8 inches of my hair. It is not in a vshape and looks like I handed a toddler scissors to do it. At this point I’m furious but keep telling myself just keep calm it’s just hair so when she finish she says ugh I’m done for the day this was too much work. She then proceeds to check me out she says if you ever let your hair grow out this much is going to cost you much more with an annoyed tone to her voice. I then told the lady (kill them with kindness right) How about you give yourself a 100% tip for your troubles since that was the reason why she was annoyed and didn’t want to do a good job. Her attitude literally went 180 and started being super nice and trying to give me conversation as if she knew me or something. I am sure I taught her a lesson without even having to complain I don’t have a shortage of money I just want a job well done she did not do that she made the whole experience very uncomfortable for me all she did was complain about my hair the whole time I was there. I’m sure the 100% tip send a straight message to her. I ignored her with my serious face, signed the receipt and walked away. Maybe next time she shouldn’t stereotype me and be more eager to cut someone with longer hair hairs as we might just give you a better tip then anyone else. You would think being a hairdresser you are trained to do just that cut hair why are you angry and annoyed that you actually have to do some hair today this is your job you are being paid to do it .I’m so pissed and I am about to buzz cut my whole head off that’s how horrible of a job she did. Lesson learned will never go back there again. Do not recommend stay away from this place.

My husband and I go to Fantastic Sams in Saint Cloud FL. we love the treatment there they are very professional and knowledgeable in there work. Love the way my hair is done never had a problem it’s the place to go!

So, I did return and the staff was completely changed as well as I understand management. Older ladies who seemed annoyed. Hair was basically the same as when I got there so no, not going back.

My girlfriend went in for a routine color job: Highlight her bangs with dark brown. Everything went fine, until the end result.
Come to find out the girl, coloring her hair, was not only two weeks into her employment there, but had barely any hair experience prior. She used a completely different hair color, then tried to rectify the issue by bleaching my girlfriend’s hair and dyeing it again.
FOUR HOURS LATER. I pick her up, her hair still botched, but thankfully her money was refunded and she was promised they’d fix it the next day she went in.
She goes back in, they fix her hair then tell her she needs to pay the $ 24 for the products, used in the treatment. The MANAGER tells her the fixing was free, but the products were not!
We ended up calling corporate office, and sent a check in the mail for that $ 24 she was forced to pay… Never go there. Period.
