Peghorn Nature Park

Peghorn Nature Park is a small local park in St. Cloud, Florida. It’s easy to get to (right off 192 — Vine Street). Depending on what you’re looking for, this may be a wonderful park for you — or you might find it a bore.
Personally I love taking quiet walks in a natural setting … and the park was empty when I arrived — and virtually empty when I left — so I had the nature trails to myself. There wasn’t a lot to see: a couple old buildings, a garden, and two trails. The trails are well cleared — so the walking is fairly easy — even for an older clumsier person such as myself.
I saw a snake (darn if my camera was shut off at the time and only caught the tail end of him), some vultures, and a butterfly. But the best part was just some quiet me time … I’ll be going back.
