The Pizza Factory – Pineview

We are from the salt lake area and we love eating at this place! And we thought it would be good in st. George area also… sad to say it was far from good. The staff was not friendly, and it wasnt just one person there was 5 employees i encountered that were not friendly nor helpful. horrible customer service. They ran out of and didn’t keep stock of the salad bar. They ran out of lettuce and then the lettuce they replaced it with was very discussing looking. Not edible. And on top of it all it was very very dirty. There were no clean tables and when I asked them to business one of the many empty but not bused tables they took the plates but didn’t clean the counters or seats. The floors were disgusting. Overall not a great by any means. Definitely won’t be returning.

Intentionally or not, I always end up eating here when in St George and I never regret it!
The staff is very friendly, the faciltiy is clean, and the food is great! They have a nice little salad bar and the bread twists are amazing! (Shhhh just eat, dont think of the carbs).
It appears to be a local hot spot, as every time I see families, young groups, and people that could be on a date.
It’s a nice change from other local spots like Café Rio. This place can be crowded, but it wont feel crowded or take as long as other restraurants.

This place is just fine.
Their pizza is above average, but nothing to write home about. They use fresh ingredients and their sauce and crust are delicious.
They have phenomenal bread sticks! Do not miss out on this treat.
The salad bar is decent. Each time I’ve visited, the bar has been well-​stocked and fresh. There just isn’t anything special about it.
Stay away from the pasta dishes. They’re terrible! They over cook the noodles, the sauce is from a can, and they clearly use frozen meatballs.
The atmosphere is cool, but it’s always super noisy and crowded with kids running to and fro and everywhere in between! There’s no cocktail or booze relief in sight, which is kind of lame for a sit-​down resto. This is why I ONLY eat lunch here.
So… eat some pizza, salad and bread sticks. Avoid the pasta. And drink elsewhere.

I go here all the time and I get the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, it is the best pasta I’ve ever had and comes with their famous bread twist. The lines go pretty fast and the service is great. The reason I give it only 3 stars in because the «half plate» and «full plate» are the exact same amount of pasta, the only difference is literally the size of the plate. The half plate is $ 6, and the full plate is $ 9.25, biggest rip off ever for the full plate. Not enough pasta with either size you get.

Worst pizza I can remember eating. Salad bar was picked thru when we got there. They freshened it up but it was still pretty pathetic. The kids meals looked like they came from a can. The «white sauce» looked like refrigerated gravy. My suggestion– go for
The breadsticks and nothing else.

We have been here several times. The pizza and bread twists are good. The salad bar needs work… Like more choices and keep everything full! The bathroom is shared with the business next door and is always dirty. The tables have always been clean when we go in and our food comes out fairly quick. This is a good place to bring kids too.

Wow, I was a long time St. George resident used to eat here all the time, just came through town and decided to eat here for the first time in many years .
It is absolutely HORRIBLE, the service sucks, the food sucked the bathrooms were disgusting, the seats in the booth are ripped and some are duct taped, I wish I could leave and eat somewhere else, I guess the owners decided to just make it about them making money and not the customer don’t waste your time !
call ahead at Texas Roadhouse and go there that’s where I wanted to go .
Shame on you pizza factory.

Worst service ever! The employees were rude and they acted like I was inconveniencing them. The restaurant was a mess too, I can only imagine what the kitchen looked like.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the pizza factory… but not this location. Won’t ever waste my time or money on this again.

We used to go here all the time. You couldn’t pay me now. The food quality is criminal. The place is filthy. And the restaurant is staffed with a harem of teenagers who act annoyed you’ve come in. Their disdain is palpable. My favorite part is, I paid for a full salad while my wife had a half. When they came out, the bowl size was different, while the portion size was 100% the same. I’d have asked for more, but I’m sure I ingested enough saliva with the first portion.

Whenever I visit my family in Utah, this is a must visit place! My Mom and I are big salad bar fans, so we always get that and a bread twist. Oh the divine bread twists! SO. GOOD. I haven’t had their pizza in a while but I remembered it was good, also their raspberry lemonades! A great, quick lunch option.

This Pizza Factory is in the historic Ancestor Square of St. George and has been open over 33 years. I have heard a lot about Pizza Factory over the years and pass by this location (and pasta factory) in St George often, so I figured we might as well see what it’s all about.
Pizza sizes are the following sizes:
Mini — 7″ and 4 slices
Small — 10″ and 8 slices
Medium — 12″ and 8 slices
Large — 14″ and 12 slices
X-​Large — 16″ and 12 slices
They have traditional, Chicago deep dish or carb-​lite Thin crusts and offer about 16 different pizza toppings. If you want the deep dish pizza prepare to hang out a bit longer as it takes more time to prepare. The gluten free crust is available in medium only and the crust-​less no carb is only available in the mini size. Hubby and I decided to split a custom large «½ Pepperoni & ½ Pastrami Pizza» and we both ordered a soda. After ordering at the register and paying I was given my receipt and told to look for a table with a shiny metal top and the number 12 on it. We walked back and found our table and then filled our drinks. Pizza Factory is self-​serve in a lot of ways because you have to get your own napkins, silverware and fill your drinks, but the person who brought our pizza to the table did check on us twice to see if things were good and offer us a to-​go box. The pizza was different. When I saw pastrami on the menu as a choice for toppings I knew we would get it on at least half. The pizza wasn’t bad at all, but it wasn’t really anything special. Would I eat it again? Sure. Will I go out of my way to eat it? No. There were lots of tables and booths with kids and the vibe I got from this place is kids might like to eat here more then adults. This is a great place to stop when traveling through if you have kids or maybe after a soccer game or something. The total cost was $ 21.99 for the pizza and 2 drinks.
They have a salad bar here, but I personally wouldn’t eat from it. It is very small so there isn’t a whole lot of room for the groups of people hovering over it. If you do want salad then it is available in small, large and all-​you-​can-​eat (this one includes 1 breadtwist) and they have daily specials that include pizza and salad for $ 5.99 (not bad).
Breadtwists — It bothers me, but yes the word is ran together like that on their menu. I am super pissed that I didn’t try one of these, but didn’t notice them until I saw other people having them brought to their table so I looked over the menu to find out about them. The breadtwists come out served on a stick, look twisty (duh it’s in the name!) and come in flavors like cinnamon sugar, garlic parmesen or plain. Eat the breadtwists alone or dip them in either cinnamon dip, honey butter or sweet cream sauce. At some point I will try one of these because they look interestingly delicious.
This location also has on the menu a variety of pastas, sandwiches, calzones, soups and desserts. Delivery is also an option so this is good to know not just for locals, but tourists staying at nearby motels who want a quick and hassle-​free lunch or dinner. There is also a drive-​thru I noticed at this location and above the window it says «for pick-​up only» so if going inside isn’t your thing you could always phone your order in and pick it up without even getting out of the car.

The PIZZA FACTORY at this location is expensive & service is horrible! The salad bar is never full. I think they need to someone from the downtown location, to help manage this place. When we have gone, our order is NEVER right. So sad to see this ~ will not recommend to friends or family.

The pizza is good but be careful what you order. Stay away from the mini pizzas, they taste awful. You’re better off getting a frozen pizza from Walmart. However, the larger pizzas taste very different and are great.

I have been a VERY loyal Pizza Factory customer for almost 30 years. Until this location opened, I had never had a bad experience and always looked forward to my meals.
This location does not operate on the same level that other PF restaurants do. Nearly every time I get a to-​go order it has been wrong or missing an item. The salad bar is never as fresh or well stocked as the Ancestor Square store. Because it is a ‘quick serve’ style as opposed to most of their other stores being ‘sit down’ pizzeria style restaurants.
Unexplicably, the pizza at this location never tastes as good. Not sure if it is a different oven or chef or what… but my pies at this store always taste microwaved.
I have been in the hotel and restaurant business for 20 years myself, and I can only figure that this store doesn’t just confuse the customers, it confuses the staff. They can’t seem to keep track of customers who are in the restaurant and they can’t ever remember me five minutes after I order.
A few days ago we agreed as a family to never get food at this location again after a botched to-​go order. I paid for the order and the cashier stacked up my pizza and salads and gave me the drink cups. I got my self serve drinks and walked to my car, totally spacing that I had left the food still on the counter. I made it all the way home (25 mile drive) before realizing my error. When I called the store the young lady said…” I thought it was weird that you didn’t take your food… giggle giggle.” My response… I said «miss, I order here several times a week, you have my phone number, why didn’t you pick up the phone and say hey you forgot your pizza!» (note…there wasn’t a single other customer in the restaurant, so she wasn’t busy) I can’t even conceive of talking to one of my hotel guests this way.
I will remain loyal to the Ancestor Sq location and to the Cedar City store.
It’s worth adding… I mentioned my issues to a mgr at the Ancestor Sq store and he basically shrugged and said «yeah, we hear that a lot but we aren’t sure what is wrong.’

Very friendly staff. Prices comparable to a nice family restaurant with table service, but this was a counter service restaurant — so it was overpriced (we are a family of 5 and it cost around $ 70 for us to eat here). Breadsticks were awesome, Pizza was terrible. Not even my kids would eat the pizza and they eat school cafeteria pizza — they took one bite and opted to focus on their breadsticks and salads instead. The pizza reminded my wife of Chuck-​E-​Cheese pizza, but I think it was worse since my kids will actually eat that.

Had dinner here last night and it was terribly expensive or I was overcharged. For a medium thin meat pizza, a half order of spaghetti with meat sauce and sautéed mushrooms and 2 sodas, the bill was $ 38. And change. I could have gone to Olive Garden and gotten a better meal for less money.

When your name is Pizza factory, you would think that is at least the one thing you could get right. But, they don’t. We stopped there on the way back from Brianhead back to Vegas. After a day of skiing, when doesn’t pizza sound great? When it comes from here. Easily the worst restaurant pizza I have ever had, and that includes Cici’s.My dauughter, who is a chees pizza aficianado, wouldn’t even touch it after a few bites. It’s just horrible. I will say the salad bar looked good, but did not try it, and we had this bread-​twist thing that everyone seems to order. That was good. Outside of that, why was anyone here? St. Georgians — there is good pizza out there-​but not here. One annoyance as an aside. They have these tracklight/​spotlights in the ceiling, of which several are conveniently aimed right at the eyes of unlucky diners along the walls.

Ok. I never write reviews but I’ve got to speak out about Pizza Factory. The food is consistently good, staff competent but never overly friendly (except for the old timers at the St. George Blvd location) and sometimes even surly, the service is fast, and the restaurants are always clean. But let’s visit the salad bar. The regular salad is a «small» soup bowl and the large salad is a «regular» soup bowl. Really? How much does lettuce cost anyway? It’s not like you are going to break the bank if you give a plate or other descent-​size container! I’m not a large person and not a piggy eater, but stand near the salad bar and observe people walking away — even little twiggy girls have piled their bowls to overflowing. Does that mean the food is just so good you just can’t get enough and consistently over eat just because you’re at PF? No! It means the bowl is too small to even make a meal. But wait! Get your salad to go and you get a descent, sandwich-​sized container. Oh, but apparently they have caught on to that tactic because, when I went just before Christmas with my granddaughter (who weighs 110), they wouldn’t give us a to-​go container because, «We have found that people load both the container AND the lid.» Duh. Maybe we’re trying to tell you something: offer an all-​you-​can eat selection or (perish the thought) a larger bowl, and even raise the price by $ 1.00 if necessary! BTW, my bowl was reasonable full and my granddaughter’s was overflowing and dripping dressing on the table and she ate it all. I complaint every time I go, and I resist going, but when you are in a hurry and not very hungry it is always a good choice. Perhaps their motto is, «Always leave them wanting more.»

Good pizza. The salad bowl is very small and is an insult. Pizza is way too over priced but I like the pizza. Lunch is reasonable but I don’t go during dinner due to price.

Ya know, Ive always been one to highly recommend Pizza Factory. I Don’t really care which location, they all have great fresh food, clean restaurant and great staff. As far as Pineview PF goes, I find the lines shorter than the main street, main location so we often frequent this one. The salad bar does have fewer choice toppings.
On my last trip to Pineview PF my wife and I both ordered a salads, one bread twist and we shared a full gobbler sandwich. The girl forgot to bring out the bread twist. She was very cute and cheerful but we asked several times. Finally I had to get up at the end of the meal and wait at the counter until they could cook one we could take home. Kinda buggy but hey its not a big deal, PF was not busy i have to add. Within an hour my wife and I were extremely sick. I don’t know what it was, Clearly nothing had been done intentionally but the end result was the same, Friday, 6pm and we both wanted to die.. . I’m not saying I’ll never be back but this last visit was a bust for sure.
