Whenever I visit the farmers’ market, I buy enough of her macarons for all my guests. I usually get a little meat pie to eat on the spot, and a whole fruit pie for later. Get there early or miss out on the day’s specials.

I recently got married in Glen Ellen and we used Dominique’s Sweets to provide all of our desserts! Dominique was a delight to work with. I spoke with her on the phone, emailed with her and also made a trip up from the Bay Area to try her macarons at the Santa Rosa Farmer’s Market. I had some very special requests from her, like. can you make a gluten free chocolate cake that doesn’t taste like cardboard or undercooked, and she delivered! We ordered the gluten free cake, 100 macarons in 5 different flavors and lots of dutch crumble apple pies from her. The macarons are honestly the best I have ever eaten. I’ve tried them from all the fancy stores and even from Paris and the macarons she makes win the macaron battle 100%. They are fresh, they have the crispy outside and the gooey but not too gooey inside. They are not too small and she does not use any food coloring in them. We received about 25 each of lemon, passion fruit, chocolate raspberry and they were delicious! The pies and cake were also delicious. The cake was flourless chocolate but dense and fluffy, you couldn’t even tell it was gluten free. The pies were very large, hearty apple pies and she used gravenstein apples in them since that was what was in season! Highly recommend Dominique for any party or sweets craving!

Rose macarons are my favorite. I ordered a custo Bush De Noelle(sp?) for holiday dinner with family. So whimsical and deee-licious. I also had a chance to visit the farmers market and pick up an apple pie made from FRESH Gravensteins. Make sure you call ahead and request your favorite pie be held for pick up because they go fast!

ANOTHERFIVESTARS for Dominique’s Sweets! She makes French Macarons & Handmade Pastries and Pies! AMAZING!!! I again visited the St. Helena /Napa Valley Farmer’s Market on a Friday morning. The FIRST thing that I headed to was Dominique’s booth! She has the Nation’s BEST macarons and treats. First, you should know that I’m a French Macaron SNOB. I’m proud of it. I’ve eaten macarons from Lette’, Bouchon, Le Pattessire, and several other specialty stores. I’ve even taken macarons classes from Sur La Table and have been making macarons for 2+ years. Hands down, Dominique’s macarons are the BOMBSHADIGGIDYOMGDELICIOUS! Each of her flavors of macarons have a super crunchy shell with chewy insides. Each of the flavors are AMAZING! Her macarons are $ 1.75 each. She could easily charge $ 3 per macaron, because they are large(almost 2.5−3″ in diameter). Lemon Curd: Tart and delicious! Sea salted Caramel: OMG — delicious and fun to eat! Apricot: Topped with lavendar and fresh fruit flavors! Chocolate: Classic and simple. Rose: One of my favorites!!! Made with quality rose oil! Lavendar: Floral and fresh! Love it! Check out her pastries, lamb meat pies, and other stuff. I was also impressed with her home-made pies — 1) Berry combination(blackberry; boysenberry; blackberry?), 2) Berry Pie(Rasberries; black berries; and blueberries?), 3) Cherry pie. Each pie is $ 20 with a $ 3 deposit for the glass pie pan. They look sooo delicious and worth it! The best part of my experience was talking wtih Dominique. She is very humble and knoweldgeable about baking. She’s always welcoming and kind. She is also willing to offer baking tips if you ask! THAT is class! Food Grade: A+ AMAZING! Service Grade: A+ Dominique is #1 in her field. Worth the Money Grade: A! I’d pay more for her products! Overall Impression Grade: A! I’ll see you again soon!

The fiancé had the bright idea right before the wedding that she wanted a dessert bar along with our cake. Some last-minute hunting and pecking led us to Dominique’s Sweets. Originally hunting for a macaron tower, she was sold by Dominique’s pâte à Choux swans. Delivery and set-up was a breeze, the additional impact on my budget spreadsheet not so much. I did pick the right fiancé(now wife!) though. She also requested some special order coffee eclairs, which are just about the greatest thing ever. Dominique’s eclairs were fantastic, and I probably popped three to seven of those suckers down the hatch. Macarons were also delicious. I only wish I had eaten more, but by the end of the night I was too stuffed to indulge(that) many more desserts. Strongly recommend for catering/wedding events.
