Initially, I had some concerns about their ability to accommodate a pretty simple request. I know with tract home builders, you don’t have much leeway in regards to special requests.
But Todd Olthof and the rest of the team at Olthof Homes really went above and beyond to make sure that my husband and I were the right builders and were more than willing to work with us to make sure that our special request was accommodated. This makes us confident in our decision to work with them. Very pleased!

My fiancé and I built our first home with Olthof, completed in August this year. From the beginning, the already very stressful and overwhelming process of building a home became more manageable with the wonderful staff. Lisa in Cedar Lake’s Sales Office is just wonderful. She always answered our millions of questions quickly and efficiently, even after she left the office for the day. She made the whole process seem not as intimidating by simply being friendly and honest. Once we got the ball rolling and started visiting the home for walk throughs, Randon the construction manager was also nothing but positive, informative, polite, and friendly. There have been little, minor problems here and there, but I didn’t expect everything to be 100% perfect. That’s just not realistic. But I believe our house is worth every bit we paid. I’m happy we chose Olthof, we love our home, the neighborhood, and the service we’ve received.
